The latest innovation in the studio: parameterising. Danique Franssen is working on the standardisation of displays and their components. The new tool Danique is writing will make the design phase a lot easier - and above all faster. “It takes some time to develop, but in the end it will save a lot of time”, concludes the display designer.

n the end, it’s all about the fact that displays and parts can be designed in Autocad with just a few clicks. Example: “I have now made a standard counter display. The tool makes sure that you only have to enter the inner dimensions. The program adapts the design immediately. And it also takes into account the thickness of the various materials.” For the time being, it is not yet about entire displays; that is still a bit more complicated. What is important is that time can be saved. “No need to draw everything again if a size has to be changed. Suppose a product changes and so the display has to be changed. Then you only have to rebuild it by entering the desired numbers. Then everything is adjusted immediately and you don’t have to redraw the parts.” In the future, it will mainly be about standard items such as brochure trays, displays, display parts such as a base or tube. With a few clicks, the item in question is ready immediately and no longer needs to be drawn up. n
