How to Schedule an Appointment Using TutorTrac

HOW TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A TUTOR 1. Log into your My.Hofstra.Edu Portal.

2. Click on the Apps icon located on the top right of your Portal screen.

3. Click on the TutorTrac icon.

4. Click on Search Availability.

In the Section menu, select your Course.

5. In the “Center” field, choose University Tutorial Program.

7. Choose a date & time range and click Search.

In the calendar, click on your preferred appointment time.

9. An Appointments Entry box will open.

Provide a phone number in case the UTP Office needs to contact you and provide any additional information in the Notes section. Click SAVE.

Congratulations!

You have successfully scheduled your tutoring appointment! You will receive an email confirmation shortly. Check your email for confirmation of your appointment and the location.

HOW TO CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT WITH A TUTOR UTP Cancellation Policy: You must cancel appointments through TutorTrac at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. Failure to cancel your appointment or attend the session on time will be considered a “No Show.” Three (3) “No Shows” will result in loss of all UTP tutoring services for the remainder of the semester. PLAN AHEAD! Cancel any appointments you cannot attend in advance. Be considerate of both the tutors and other students who may want the chance to secure the appointment time. Log into your My.Hofstra.Edu Portal.

Click on the Apps icon located on the top right of your Portal screen.

In the My Applications window, click on the TutorTrac icon.

On the main menu of TutorTrac, review your Upcoming Appointments list.

Click the “X” button next to the appointment you wish to cancel.

A cancellation window will appear. Enter your reason for cancelling and click “Confirm Cancellation.”

7. Check your email. You will receive confirmation that your appointment was cancelled.

REMEMBER:  You are eligible for individual tutoring in up to three courses. You are limited to 90 minutes per course, per week. (Two 45-minute appointments.)  Students can book appointments at least one week in advance, and no less than 48 hours in advance.  If there are no available appointments, contact the UTP Office at 516-463-4002.  By booking an appointment, students agree to all of UTP’s policies.
