HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY Literature in Motion: Questions About the “Missing 43”, Latin American Peace Process and Immigration Thursday, October 5, 2017 4:30-6 p.m. Lowenfeld Conference and Exhibition Hall, Axinn Library, 10th Floor This panel will be set as a dialogue surrounding Mexico and the 43 students still missing, Latin American Peace Process, Immigration, and Spain, as the recipient of a large number of immigrants from Latin America and the Caribbean, in the past two decades. It will showcase fundamental literary voices from the region, including: Mario Bojorquez, writer from Mexico, author of Memorial de Ayotzinapa (Visor, 2016), Iván Oñate, writer from Ecuador, author of La nada sagrada (2010), and Rafael Soler, writer from Spain, author of No eres nadie hasta que te disparan (Vitrubio, 2016).
