JOIN US FOR A WORKSHOP INCLUSIVE PEDAGOGY THROUGH DISCIPLINE: APPROPRIATE COMMUNICATION AND INTERVENTION

Presented by the Center for "Race," Culture, and Social Justice Featuring Professor Aisha Wilson-Carter and Dr. Andrea Russo Efthymiou, Department of Writing Studies and Rhetoric This workshop supports faculty interested in incorporating inclusive practices into their classrooms. It is grounded in understanding participants’ own intersectional identities as individuals and then moves to diversity content integration for classrooms. Aisha Wilson-Carter is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Writing Studies & Rhetoric, faculty writing center tutor, the co-chair of the Black Faculty Council and serves on the faculty advisory board for the Center for "Race," Culture & Social Justice. Andrea Rosso Efthymiou is an Associate Professor of Writing Studies and Rhetoric and the Writing Center Director at Hofstra University. Her scholarship measures the impact of undergraduate research experiences on writing center peer tutors.
