Feel Better Fast: Coping Essentials Group
Improve your ability to cope with life stressors and increase resilience through this supportive group. Students looking to learn practical and effective skills to manage thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and enhance daily living are encouraged to attend. Monday at 4 p.m.
Mindfulness Meditation
This drop-in group focuses on building the connectivity of mind, body, and emotion through mindfulness. Learn ways to relax and manage stress, anxiety, and other emotions while increasing awareness and staying in the present moment. Tuesday at 8 p.m. Thursday at 7 p.m.
Coping With Grief
This group provides support to students who have experienced a death or loss. Students will be able to connect with others who share similar experiences, identify their personal grief process, and develop healthy coping strategies. Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Social Network Live
Join fellow students for this social development training group to learn better ways to begin, engage in, and maintain social connections and relationships.
Life Hacks
Looking to succeed in school, manage your social life, and do it all with less stress? Take a break and learn new life skills each week to bring out the best in you! Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Recovery Group
Learn effective ways to live a balanced life through recovery from substance use. This group provides support and offers techniques to build and maintain motivation, cope with urges, and manage thoughts, feelings, and behaviors for individuals in recovery from addictions. Thursday at 8 p.m.
Social Anxiety Group
This supportive group focuses on helping students understand and reduce anxiety in social situations. Learn and develop skills and strategies for becoming more comfortable and confident in social settings. Friday at 3 p.m.
Unless otherwise noted, all groups meet in Room 106 Student Health and Counseling Center, which can be accessed through the north entrance door of the Wellness and Campus Living Center, North Campus.
