Timeline for Sunday, May 19, 2024:
Class Registration and Brunch – 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
Greenhouse, Sondra and David S. Mack
Student Center, Lower Level, North Campus
Pick up your nametag and begin connecting with your fellow graduates! The brunch will include a Hofstra University update and a toast, welcoming the Class of 1974 into the Half-Century Club – composed of Hofstra alumni who have graduated more than 50 years ago. Each member of the Class of 1974 will be robed in a graduation cap and gown.
*Transportation will be provided to the ceremony.*
Class Recognition at Commencement – 1-1:45 p.m.
David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex, North Campus
Class members and their guests will then be bussed to the 2024 Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony to relive their graduation from 50 years ago! The class will have the opportunity to hear the 2024 keynote speaker and then receive special recognition from President Susan Poser. We will leave the commencement immediately following the recognition of the 50th reunion class.
Campus Bus Tour – 1:45-2:45 p.m.
Leaving from David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex, North Campus
A bus tour will depart from commencement with our very own Pride Guide! Class members will be able to see all parts of campus, new and old, and hear about all the improvements made since your graduation. The tour will end at the Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center.
Directions to Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center
From Eastern Long Island: Take Northern State Parkway to Meadowbrook Parkway South (exit 31A), or Southern State Parkway to Meadowbrook Parkway North (exit 22N). Proceed on Meadowbrook Parkway to exit M4 (Hempstead Turnpike). Follow Hempstead Turnpike (Route 24) west to Hofstra, approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right at traffic light before second pedestrian bridge, entering North Campus. Signs will direct you to available parking.
From New York City: Take the Long Island Expressway to exit 38, Northern State Parkway, to Meadowbrook Parkway South (exit 31A), or Southern State Parkway to Meadowbrook Parkway North (exit 22N). Proceed on Meadowbrook Parkway to exit M4 (Hempstead Turnpike). Follow Hempstead Turnpike (Route 24) west to Hofstra, approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right at traffic light before second pedestrian bridge, entering North Campus. Signs will direct you to available parking.
The Greenhouse is located on the lower level of the Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center.
