With $127,000 in grant funding by an organization that wishes to remain anonymous; Pocono Mountain Regional EMS acquired 9 Stryker stair-chairs. This equipment allows our professionals to safely move patients out of homes and traverse steps. Four of these chairs are cutting edge power chairs which make it possible to move patients up and down steps without lifting for the well-being of our crews.
Thanks to Lehigh Valley Pocono Foundation, five new Sapphire Medication Infusion Pumps allow PMREMS Paramedics to administer additional medications to treat patients with critical life threatening medical situations.

EMS was the first EMS agency in Pennsylvania to receive and place two Lifepack 35 Cardiac Monitors acquired under a FEMA AFG $146,000 grant into service. These cutting edge pieces of cardiac monitoring devices are 5g connected and capable of transmitting patient information in real time to physicians in the emergency room allowing our clinicians to consult with ER physicians in real time and will pave the way for future tele-health style physician consultation. Funding will also allow our crews to have a “backup” set of gear at each of our substations expanding our capability and capacity.
