Owned by a Kenyan American who is based in the United States until the company merged with Hodari Africa Safaris and forming part of the Hodari Africa Collection brand. The USA Office is still at 6886 Smoke Ridge Drive, Atlanta Georgia.
We are a privately owned 16-bed lodge within the heart of Samburu National Reserve. We are perched on the meandering Ewaso Nyiro River which offers a plethora of wildlife, flora and fauna.
Our lodge comprises of 4 single villas and 6 Family villas -with more on the way. The beautiful Samburu Elephant lodge, is named after the majestic lumbering Elephants that visit the river to quench their thirst and have a play in the river.
Samburu Elephant Lodge also has a swimming pool where you can swim with uninterrupted views of the Ewaso Nyrio River.
Our Conference center holds up to 60 people, and can be used for various functions. Our restaurant prides itself on its light but plentiful cuisine with multiple venues set for you to dine at.
Our lodge has free Wifi in all areas providing you connection with the outside world where sharing your stay with us become life stories filled with glorious memories that will stay close to your heart for years to come.
A fully stocked bar lets you relax with a gin and tonic, or a thirst-quencher after a game drive, admiring all of what Samburu National Reserve can offer you.
Lodging at Lewaso Cottages is provided in comfortable bandas. Bandas are available in either dou -ble or twin size and come equipped with an ensuite bathroom. The open-air bathrooms are cleverly designed to allow you to enjoy the surrounding environment while ensuring complete privacy.
All rooms have wide double doors and windows that lead out to the front verandas, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular views from the comfort of your bed.
Hot water, tea, and coffee are delivered each morning to start the day, and patrolling Masai warriors keep watch over the lodge at night for your safety.
