ONBOARD EXPENSE ACCOUNT

Setting Up Your Account

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so on the Royal App or at Guest Services on Deck 5. Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash.

Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank.

You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting Guest Services. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. All charges can be viewed in the Royal App or on your Stateroom TV. Printed receipts will be provided for each onboard purchase, and a preliminary statement will be delivered to your stateroom on the last night of your cruise. A ﬁnal statement will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of departing the ship on the last day of your cruise. Guests on a cash account will need to settle their account at Guest Services prior to disembarking the ship.

Specialty Dining reservations can be made through the Royal App. You may also dial 7000 on your stateroom phone and select the restaurant you wish to dine in or visit the restaurant to make a reservation.

Continental breakfast is complimentary. Both the All-Day Menu and American Breakfast will have a delivery fee of $7.95 plus an 18% gratuity for each order. To view the menu, visit the Royal App or browse on the TV in your stateroom. When you’re ready to order, dial 4800 from your stateroom phone.

How much are gratuities?

If not already pre-paid, a $18.50 gratuity ($21.00 for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise. This gratuity is shared among dining & culinary services staff, stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams working behind the scenes. In addition to daily gratuities, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage, mini bar items, specialty dining, and spa & salon purchases.

What Time is It?

Cozumel, Mexico is one hour behind than the ship time. Although your phone may automatically adjust to local time, please ensure you’re following ship time. You can manually adjust your phone if needed.

SeaPass Card Cash Limit

The credit limit for cash SeaPass cards is $300. Once this limit is reached, the account will be deactivated. To reactivate, a cash deposit is needed or simply link a credit card on the Royal App.

Junior Cruisers Curfew: (17 & Under)

Please note there is a mandatory 1:00 am curfew for guests ages 17 and under every evening. After 1:00 am, all minors must be in their staterooms or participating in an organized Adventure Ocean program.

Take Precautions Ashore

Be cautious and practice situational awareness when exploring new areas. If on a Shore Excursion, stick with your group. If traveling on your own, consider alternative routes and allow yourself extra travel time to and from the ship.

Mexico Tourist Tax Notice

As a reminder, as our sailing visits Mexico, select guests will see a charge related to the Mexico Non-resident Tax based on the date their reservation was made and their eligibility.

Mexican Ports No Smoking Update

Mexico has banned all forms of smoking (including e-cigarettes) in all public spaces. Before you go ashore, please store them away in your stateroom. Failure to comply may result in ﬁnes and/or being detained up to 36 hours.

To help recognize superior service from crew during your adventure, a $18.50 USD gratuity ($21 USD for Suite guests) is added to each guest’s SeaPass account daily. This gratuity is shared amongst culinary & beverage services sta , stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams.

SeaPass Card Cash Limit

The credit limit for cash SeaPass cards is $300. Once this limit is reached, the account will be deactivated. To reactivate, a cash deposit is needed or simply link a credit card on the Royal app.

Take A Towel and Dive into Adventure

With your SeaPass card, you can check out as many towels needed after each new adventure. Make sure to bring your towel back by 5:00 pm on the last day of the sailing. A $25 USD replacement fee will be charged to your SeaPass card for each unreturned towel.
