You don’t need to go far from Hoburne Blue Anchor to experience the best of Somerset. The beach is right on our doorstep and Exmoor is just a couple of miles down the road.
Spend an afternoon strolling along the beach, sun on your face and ice cream in hand, while watching the waves roll lazily towards the shore. With both sand and shingle areas to explore, your four-legged friend will also be endlessly entertained with Blue Anchor Bay being dogfriendly all year round.
Walk or cycle around Exmoor or take a trip to the Quantock Hills, the West Country is waiting to be explored and a new adventure is waiting for you every time you step outside.
Just beyond the park
You will find so much beauty and wonder to explore. A short walk from the park is the West Somerset Steam Railway, offering 20 miles of heritage railway, passing right alongside our park. We think this is one of the best ways to meander through the Quantock Hills and Somerset countryside.
You’ll find more than just a beautiful country house at Dunster Castle; extensive gardens, a working watermill and a varied calendar of events all year round are waiting to be discovered. Get off the beaten path and lose yourself in the beautiful landscape of Exmoor National Park, with moorland, woodland and coast, all shaped over thousands of years by nature and man.
