HEALTHY LIVING
Dear BridgeMill Members,
Unfortunately, we have identified an increasing issue happening during some of these open hours. We have recorded numerous instances of members with 24-hour access fobs opening the doors to individuals without access fobs. This is a violation of our 24-hour access policy that our members agreed to upon acceptance of the access fob. Allowing unauthorized people to access to our private facilities puts safety and security at great risk.
To address the increase in these incidents, we have implemented a new camera system that monitors all access points in real time. Members found assisting others in unauthorized entry, and thereby violating the policy, will be subject to penalties that could include membership suspension for repeated violations.
It is our intent that the enforcement of these rules will contribute to maintaining a safe and purposeful atmosphere within the fitness center. Your cooperation and commitment to these guidelines will play a crucial role in upholding the integrity of our gym community. Together, we can create a space where everyone feels secure and can fully enjoy the benefits of a dedicated fitness environment.
Should you have any concerns about safety, security or behavior at the fitness center, please do not hesitate to contact the Fitness Center Director at 770-324-3175.

JOIN OUR B-FIT COMMUNITY HEALTHY LIVING
and learn how to strengthen your glutes!
WHY YOU SHOULD BE WORKING YOUR GLUTE MUSCLES
When it comes to fitness, the glute muscles, comprising the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius and gluteus minimus are essential for much more than just aesthetics. They play a crucial role in stabilizing the pelvis and lower back, helping to maintain proper posture. Weak glutes can lead to imbalances that cause lower back pain and poor alignment, especially for people who sit for long periods. Strengthening these muscles helps support the spine and improves overall posture.
Additionally, strong glutes are key for injury prevention. These muscles stabilize the hips and control lower body movements, reducing strain on the knees and lower back. Weak glutes can cause over compensation by other muscles which may lead to injuries such as knee pain, hamstring strains, or lower back issues.
For athletes and fitness enthusiasts, glute strength is essential for enhancing performance. The glutes are involved in running, jumping, squatting and lifting, contributing power to explosive movements and increasing stability in weightlifting. Strengthening them allows for better athletic performance, more efficient movements and greater endurance.
Building glute strength also improves mobility and stability, making daily activities easier and reducing the risk of falls or imbalances. In addition the glutes are large muscle groups that burn a significant number of calories, contributing to fat loss and improved body composition when regularly worked through compound exercises.
Incorporating exercises like squats, hip thrusts, and lunges into your routine ensures the glutes remain active and functional, preventing issues like “dormant butt syndrome” caused by a sedentary lifestyle. Strong glutes support better movement mechanics, making daily tasks and workouts more efficient and reducing the likelihood of injury.

LGA NEWS
SHARE YOUR SPARE TOURNAMENT: a Huge Success!
The Bridgemill LGA, a small, but mighty group of ladies, hosted their first Charity Golf Tournament. It was a big endeavor for a group that has only been in existence less than 3 years.
The catalyst for the tournament was Therese Powers. Therese donated a kidney last December. The tournament was a way to honor Therese and raise money for a local transplant recipient. We are happy to announce that we were able to raise over $24,000 to help Gabrielle. These funds will go a long way in supporting her future healthcare needs that are a result of the transplant. With her “reach school” being Yale, Gabrielle is an academic shining star with big goals in life. We can all sleep soundly, knowing that our future is in such capable hands.
The Women’s Rockstars:
Longest Drive – Robin Roper Closest to the Pin – Stacy Propes
The Men’s Rockstars:

Jan Peterson, Nicole Howard, Gail Smith, and Margaret Kalaher won the “Had the Most Fun” award with each winning a free Cart Fee for their next round.
Chris Payne, Doug Wilcox, Art Rich, and Erik Peterson won the “We thought golf was like bowling and high score won” award with each winning a round of golf.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR THE LGA:
