From the Administrator

I am excited to share that the 2021 2022 school year brought an incredible season of growth to Harbor Light Christian School. Arising from a time of hesitancy and uncertainty as the pandemic lingered, the Solid Rock Center expansion project pushed forward, and 54 new student faces could be seen in the hallways; at each turn, we were reminded that the Lord goes before us, is our protector, and forever remains a most faithful provider.

It has been truly exciting to see God at work, as our community came together to move forward in the building of our Solid Rock Center. We started the school year with a large steel frame outline of the structure and ended with a fully closed-in building, moving toward a hopeful completion in mid Fall. The culmination of this debt free building project, ahead of schedule, can be greatly attributed to the blessing of over $870,000 that was received last fiscal year alone.

As our campus expands and enrollment continues to grow, our efforts and intentionality in binding our body together, has redoubled. At HLCS we are preparing the next generation to be leaders for Christ. We have an exceptional Christ-centered learning environment where we strive for all of our students to feel connected with one another, the staff, and most importantly, feel connected to their creator. This year, we spent time intentionally building community through a 7 12th grade retreat, local missions days, an all school Thanksgiving Dinner, and a March reading day where all students Pre K 12th grade paused learning and took 15 minutes to connect while reading with an older or younger buddy.

On behalf of the school staff and HLCS Board of Education, we express sincere gratitude to our families, our financial supporters, and to the community for helping make HLCS a school where God’s kingdom is advanced through the transformative work of Christian education.

In His Service, Kelly Dutcher
