Where to buy your Hong Kong flowers: the best HK florists for flower delivery As a British girl who has lived in Hong Kong for several years (I just recently got my permanent HKID card!), I’ve found that flowers are a perfect gift to give my friends to mark special occasions. Hong Kongers live in small apartments. Having lived in London and New York before moving here, I thought I was used to living in compact spaces, but my Hong Kong flat is probably a third of the size of anywhere I’ve lived before and twice anything I’ve ever paid for in terms of rent. Gripes aside, this means that when giving gifts, you really don’t want to give something that takes up space, or is something you’re not sure the receiver will like. So flowers, being so universal, are ideal as they are gorgeous, they really make someone’s day, and they are biodegradable afterwards so the recipient doesn’t have to find somewhere to place or store your gift. I’ve tried many florists in Hong Kong over the years, either to send a flower bouquet to someone, or just as a pick-me-up for myself! These are the ones I’ve found to be the best I’ve tried.

1. Flower Market: Okay, this isn’t actually a particular florist. But the Flower Market in Hong Kong is an absolute dream for flower lovers like me. If you have time, do make the journey there to pick out your flowers. It’s in Mong Kok on the Kowloon side of the harbour, but it’s closest to Prince Edward MTR station. With its colourful, fragrant blooms and bustling atmosphere, it is a feast for the senses. The wide range of flowers available here is incredible, from traditional roses and tulips to exotic orchids and lilies. The florists in this market are knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, always willing to offer helpful advice and suggestions. But beware during busy seasons like Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day this place can get very crowded! Whether you're looking for a beautiful bouquet, a unique arrangement, or even just a single stem, the Flower Market has it all. It's a paradise for any floral enthusiast.

2. Ellermann: Ellermann is a high-end florist in Hong Kong that never fails to amaze me with their exquisite creations. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality is evident in every arrangement they make. The flowers they use are always fresh and vibrant, and their artistry in combining different colors and textures is truly impressive. The staff at Ellermann is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, making the whole experience of shopping here a pleasure. If you're looking for a floral arrangement that will leave a lasting impression, Ellermann is the place to go. As well as offering flower delivery on their website, they have stores conveniently located in Pacific Place in Admiralty, and in Landmark in Central.
