Nestled on 1,265 acres of rolling, picturesque land, minutes from the charming Village of Pinehurst, Forest Creek Golf Club offers an unparalleled life-style in a private golf club community, surrounded by a nature’s haven. This master planned, 750-lot residential development, featuring two award winning Tom Fazio designed golf courses, is the result of the vision of the late C. Louis Meyers’ descendants after they inherited the land in 1982. They knew they wanted to do something special with this unique land and provide an atmosphere for the future membership and residents that would inspire a deep source of camaraderie and reinforce traditions from generation to generation. They succeeded. Forest Creek is where Members can bring their corporate clients, as well as their families, to escape the demands of long commutes, big city traffic, and the stress that accompanies it.

“Forest Creek offered me the unique opportunity to design, without restriction, a championship golf course in the heart of America’s golf capital. To think you could be in Pinehurst, North Carolina, have a vast piece of property and put a golf course any place you want to put it . . . that’s kind of like a designer’s dream.”

Forest Creek is uniquely situated in Moore County, in the heart of the Sandhills region of North Carolina. It is just a stone’s throw in either direction from Pinehurst, one of the nation’s premiere golf destinations, and Southern Pines, a horse mecca for both the amateur and professional equestrian alike. Add to the mix the historic railroad town of Aberdeen, and you will find yourself in what is aptly known as the Home of American Golf ®! The area golf courses are widely reputed to be second to none and often considered the biggest draw. However, this special place is also exceptionally rich in natural beauty and replete with a temperate climate, exclusive restaurants, outdoor adventure opportunities, distinctive shopping venues and a wealth of cultural experiences - from art, to dance, to music. There is so much to love about living in the Pinehurst, Southern Pines and Aberdeen area! Think you might be too far off the grid? Not at all! Midway between New York and Miami, Forest Creek sits 90 minutes south of Raleigh-Durham, one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the United States, with daily non-stop flights to Paris from its international airport. Travel by rail is easily accessible from an Amtrak

station only 15 minutes away in downtown Southern Pines. Charlotte, the commercial hub of North Carolina, is just two hours west by car or a short plane ride by charter from the Moore County Airport. Not to be overlooked are the other natural treasures that constitute North Carolina. Travel west and explore Asheville and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Travel east the same distance and you can soak up the sun and sea of the Outer Banks. Living at Forest Creek allows you to enjoy the many perks of a village atmosphere while living within easy access of both big-city amenities and exceptional natural beauty!

Over the past twenty years, the Pinehurst, Southern Pines and Aberdeen area has grown and transformed into a vibrant enclave, retaining its small-town appeal while promoting a variety of business opportunities, maintaining a high quality of living, and earning the designation as a ‘micropolitan’. One of its most sparkling gems is its premiere healthcare facility, FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, recently ranked in the top 10 nationwide. Pinehurst continues to be the crème de la crème for golfers with over 40 courses to choose from and home to the iconic Pinehurst Resort. This legendary club is the site of top competition including the U.S. Open, the U.S. Women’s Open, U.S. Senior, U.S. Amateur and U.S. Women’s Amateur. Pinehurst is also home to the oldest-running training and horse racing facility, the Pinehurst Harness Track. Both Pinehurst and Southern Pines celebrate the small-town experience with their

specialty shops and bistros, walkable streets and charming New England style architecture. The Town of Aberdeen is equally captivating with its rail history, antique shops, decorator finds, brewery, and a little night music at ‘The Rooster’s Wife’. All in all, there is something for everyone here, with opportunities too many to list. There is an active arts community, stoked by the Arts Council, a pottery tradition alive and well in Seagrove, a Writers-inResidence program at the Weymouth Center for Arts & Humanities, an eclectic showing of films and music at the Sunrise Theater, and the list goes on. Outdoor activities abound with beautiful lakes for boating and nature preserves, like Weymouth Woods, for hiking. You can ride forever on the well-maintained trails of the 4,000 acre Walthour-Moss Foundation. At the same time, you are never far from a delicious eatery or interesting shopping experience.

So, come and visit . . . . and you just might want to stay!

The Clubhouse

THE CLUBHOUSE After enjoying 36 holes of championship golf, Members are welcomed to the stately, southern, manor-style Clubhouse, offering several dining areas to choose from, including a casual Grille Room or the elegant Main Dining Room. Relax in the cozy library with its magnificent fireplace and casual seating. The Clubhouse also features a Private Dining Room equipped for business meetings to accommodate National Members’ corporate outings.

For those wanting to take advantage of the favorable Pinehurst weather, the Clubhouse features a spectacular outside patio area that overlooks the 9th and the 18th holes of the South Course.

THE SOUTH COURSE The South course, which opened in 1996, is tucked gently into a hillside, and meanders around creeks, ponds and large sand bunkers. Patterned after Augusta National, Fazio’s approach was low profile in nature, essentially draping the holes across the land creating an unforced natural appearance. Fazio allowed the topography to dictate the distinctive character of each hole. The course also has a special 19th hole, which has been named the “Hog Hole”. This long par-3 over water, to a green that sits footsteps away from the Clubhouse, is famed for settling any bets that were still pending after the 18th.

“Pinehurst is a very special place, and for me, the idea that we’d be doing another golf course in the Pinehurst area made it very special. Through those early planning stages, Forest Creek evolved into a 37-hole golf club.” TOM FAZIO

“The ultimate Forest Creek compliment is that it doesn’t make any difference which course a Member chooses to play because golfers enjoy them both equally. That is the mark of success.” TOM FAZIO

THE NORTH COURSE The famed North Course features sprawling sandy waste areas along with deeper and ragged edged bunkers, as well as a pine barrens feel, causing golfers to draw a parallel to the infamous Pine Valley. Perhaps the biggest challenges of the North Course, as well as the most picturesque, are the famed 15th, 16th and 17th holes which wrap around a large lake. Golfers find each hole to be a unique and invigorating experience.

MEN’S LOCKER ROOM Forest Creek Members enjoy much more than championship golf and fine dining in a breathtaking setting. The men’s locker room, with its equestrian motif, was built from reclaimed tobacco barn timber. The heart pine lockers are designed to resemble horse stalls and the bar/lounge area features a large, double-sided fireplace laid with Pennsylvania fieldstone. Inviting Italian leather seating is found throughout and the perfect spot to enjoy a cold ale after a rewarding day of golf. Boasting over 9,000 sq. ft., this place is a standout favorite for Members and their guests.

Men’s Locker Room

The quaint log cabin, located up the hill near the practice facility, is our Golf Shop. The structure was built from two log cabins, retrieved from the hills of Tennessee and is the perfect complement to our equestrian-themed Locker Room. Whether you are looking to be outfitted with the latest equipment or the season’s hottest look, the Golf Shop is fully-stocked to assist you in finding the right items to complement your game. Our friendly and professional staff are eager to help you with all your golfing needs. Find the great brands you have come to enjoy from men’s and ladies’ apparel, to the latest in hard goods and golf accessories. The Golf Shop is conveniently located near the practice facilities, where our pros stand ready to help you develop your swing, improve your short game, or finetune your putting stroke.

Practice Facilities

The main practice tee faces North, so you never have to practice with the sun in your eyes, and it is easily accessible to the 1st hole of both the North and the South Courses. The short game area features true-tocourse conditions, whether you’re practicing from the sand or around the greens. The practice greens roll as true and as fast as the greens you will face on either the North or South Course.

Other practice areas are strategically placed near Village Homes, so you can wander out early in the morning or late in the evening to work on your game. All practice areas are open year-round (weather permitting), providing Members of all levels of ability the opportunity to hone their game.

Practice Facilities “More than two years of searching the North Carolina Sandhills for a retirement home and golf club ended about a half mile’s drive inside the Gatehouse. We both knew right there Forest Creek was different. Its exquisite golf courses aren’t the hardest in the area, but they are, hands-down, the two best. The courses, coupled with exceptional practice facilities, are all one needs to sharpen your game for national competition, local events or simple pleasure.” VICKY & GRAY TUTTLE

TENNIS For those with a love of tennis, we have 2 Har-Tru tennis courts, situated next to the Fitness Center and the Pool Complex. Our courts provide a friendly and inviting environment, where people of all ages can learn to play tennis, brush up on their skills, or enjoy a game with friends or family. The adjacent Fitness Center provides lockers, if needed, while you play and hot showers when you are finished with your match.

FITNESS A state-of-the-art Fitness Center is conveniently located between the swimming complex and tennis courts. It features the latest in workout facilities and equipment, steam rooms, fully-appointed men’s and women’s locker rooms, as well as fitness trainers and a massage therapist to assist you.

Pool, Tennis & Fitness THE POOL The junior olympic-size swimming pool is great for swimming laps or just relaxing in the water to keep cool on a summer day. The temperate climate of the Sandhills allows you to enjoy the pool from May through September. A separate fenced kiddie pool, with cabana area for mom, is conveniently located near the main pool and bathhouse.

REAL ESTATE - HOMES The Master Plan for the community consists of both Village Home and Custom Home sites. The eight Village Home areas, with several home designs to choose from, feature neighborhood putting greens and have options for forest or fairway-views. The balance of the beautifully positioned home sites are for Custom Homes and also offer golf course or forest views. Some of these lot sizes are over 2 acres.

“I searched from the Southwest Coast to the Southeast Coast looking for a private community with outstanding golf. As soon as I drove through the guarded gates of Forest Creek I knew my search had ended. Since building a home and moving here, life could not be better: 37 holes of challenging golf, near beach and mountains, friendships that will last forever with neighbors of similar backgrounds, ambitions, and active lifestyles.
