On a Cold night...

Atop Mount Everest..

A Small Boy is Born. His name is Casius.

It is the year 1792, in a village called Oasis. There are 400 people in this village, yet growing faster than most.

Most of Casius' time is spent with his father. Often learning life skills.

He also spends time listening to his fathers stories of when he was in the cities of europe, seeing great leaders of great civilizations.

As he grows older his father goes off into the mainland, trading and negotiating for supplies. one day his father doesn’t come back, leaving Casius to fend for himself.

A few more years go past and Casius is at home dreaming of times with his father, and reciting his old stories to himself.

He goes up to the attic of his house, looking at his fathers old stuff and he finds something sitting in an old trunk with his name on it. It is a necklace that his father left for him. The necklace protects him from evil spirits that come his way.

This necklace is what gets Casius to really start thinking about what he will do next.

He wants to know what happened to his father, so he leaves for the mainland that his father never came back from.

He is going to travel through the vast jungles and mountains to the mainland. This is going to be the hardest journey he has ever been on.

On the journey, he is blocked by an evil creature that is not going to let Casius by. Casius is trying to reason with the creature, but this will not work. As Casius is talking to the evil creature, the creature sees Casius’s necklace and just steps as Casius walks past.

This is when Casius starts to think that his father was a lot more powerful then he thought. Maybe his father wasn’t just going on trips for bartering. In a way, Casius was upset. He starts to think that his father was doing something bad, but he continues his journey on, to keep digging deeper in his father’s history.

He soon gets to the mainland and sees that everyone is giving him a funny look in a way. He learns that they aren’t looking at him but at his necklace.

He goes to sit down at a bench, somewhat overwhelmed by all of the mischief. He is challenged with not really knowing who is father was.

An old man comes up to him and asks him...

Do you know what your necklace means boy?

Casius replies with no. The old man explains to Casius that the necklace belonged to the great warrior that defended this village named Oasis Reynolds. Casius had almost lost his breath...That was his father!

Casius felt very guilty for thinking that his father might have been doing something bad. He felt honored that he was the son of a great warrior.

When he returned home he told the people of the village of the news. To his suprise, they all knew of this. His father didn’t want him to try to be a warrior also.

Casius was mad at his father for this. Even though his father was gone forever, Casius was at peace with his soul.
