MICHAEL HINES VICE PRESIDENT

With an unrivaled passion for real estate, Michael has built his expansive network with a focus not only on residential sales, but on development and multi family sales as well. His portfolio includes sales and marketing for the former Italian Embassy, Elysium 14, Lawrence House and Helicopter Factory, all of which are signature projects in the District. He continues to cultivate new relationships and business opportunities in the region and is highly engaged in community activism, including his involvement with Becky's Fund and serving as a Board Member of the Hoop Dreams Scholarship Fund.

Michael has worked closely with both current and former DC City Council members and mayors, and thus, he has a deep knowledge of real estate development activities in the city. Michael was also a Mayoral Appointee to the District's Board of Tax Assessments and Appeals. He also served as a board member of the DC Chamber of Commerce.

Michael has made Washington, DC his home for the past twelve years. Once voted by Washingtonian magazine as one of the area's "brightest young entrepreneurs" for his creation of One Media Space, an experiential marketing firm whose clients included Anheuser Busch, Altria, HBO, NBA, and Levi Strauss. He successfully parlayed that client base and entrepreneurial spirit into his career as one of DC's most successful realtors in the residential real estate market.

Previously with TT R Sotheby's International Realty where he served as Senior Vice President and sold more than 270 million dollars in residential real estate, Michael now joins Smith I Schnider and aims to even better serve his clients and the DC community. Licensed in DC, MD and VA, Michael also holds the ABR, GRI, CRS, ePro and BPOR designations.

As one of the founding partners of Smith | Schnider, Julie plays an integral role in its business development and client strategies. Her award winning new home sales methodologies and expertise grew through working hands on with a varied mix of the Washington, DC region’s leading developers and builders, including JBG, EYA and Van Metre Homes. Her success has come from a varied product knowledge, extensive understanding of home construction and her unique lifestyle focused sales strategies.

Patty manages both internal and external projects, ensuring all vital details remain on track and key stakeholders are kept apprised of update and overall progress. Additionally, she advises on resources to improve productivity, project deliverability and internal technology support.

Kevin provides a breadth of market knowledge, and a deep understanding of data and statistics, ensuring an accurate assessment of market dynamics and value. Prior to joining Smith | Schnider, Kevin worked in a number of research capacities in the commercial real estate industry.

SUE MARTINEZ, VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING

Sue brings more than 25 years’ experience as a vice president of sales and marketing with both regional and national homebuilders. Her expertise has long focused on the high-end range of the market. She has developed award-winning corporate brand campaigns for multiple regional builders including Grayson Homes, Edgemoore Homes and Pillars Development Group.

Ron formed Smith | Schnider in 2014 with a vision of creating a comprehensive, end to end level of guidance to home builders and condominium developers in the DC Metro area. Prior to forming Smith | Schnider, Ron was the Senior Vice President of The Mayhood Company where he spent more than 17 years managing the sales and marketing of more than 6000 residential units, in more than 50 projects.

Most recently, he was Senior Research Analyst with Newmark, a leading commercial real estate advisory firm in Washington, DC.

Unlike other teams, the agent will be a dedicated sales manager. This means the development will be the sales manager’s full time job and focus. The sales manager will not pitch other buildings to prospects or sell any other real estate during the D Street Townhouses Sales Cycle.

Michael Hines and Julie Zelaska will have a dedicated sales manager for the project. Michael Hines will oversee sales and the sales manager will be trained in the Jeff Shores 4:2 fundamental new home sales training course.
