Property from the library of Asher B. Hobson The following works are from the library of one of the nation’s leading agricultural economists, Asher Hobson (1889-1992). Throughout his career in academia and diplomacy in the U.S. and abroad, Hobson haunted book dealers in London, Geneva and Rome, forming an extensive collection of rare and reference books, mostly purchased in the 1930’s and 1940’s. Professor Hobson donated an important collection of rare books to the National Agricultural Hall of Fame, Bonner Springs, Kansas; his papers are housed in the Wisconsin Historical Society Archives.
