Background
• Threat of extinction : hunting, poaching, forest burn, deforestation
• Ex situ challenge : small population in captive; aggresive breeding behaviour by male; some females very shy and not interact with males
• Limited data and research of reproduction biology
Purpose
The purpose of this Golden cat breeding program is to produce cubs as a part of the conservation goal of Golden cat ex situ population in Indonesia and also to preserving wildlife species, promote breeding, research and technology and publications of reproduction for endangered species
