Introduction Congratulations to Hilton Central’s Class of 1970! We are doing it!

“Hey, why don’t we get a few of us together and plan a 50-year reunion for our high school Class of 1970?”

Seemed like a simple idea at the time. A few classmates gathered. We laughed and reminisced, drank a little wine, and laughed some more. With a few more recruits, we declared ourselves to be an official Reunion Committee, and off we went! The venue was chosen. A “Save-the-Date” notice generated terrific response, and a larger venue was arranged. The date was set—August 15, 2020 is a “GO”! Get ready to mail invitations in our special big red envelopes!

Not so fast, folks, because even the best-laid plans … well, you know. A worldwide pandemic suspended everything, bringing most of life as we knew it to a snail’s pace at best. In classic fashion, the Class of 1970 would not be denied its 50th. The Committee would forego delicious appetizers and laughter around the dining room table, settling instead for our raised wine glasses toasting our computer screens over ZOOM. We decided that, pandemic or not, our reunion festivities would still take place. Postponements occurred. Frustration tiptoed around the edges of meetings, and yet here we are, celebrating our “50 + 1 Year” Class Reunion in October 2021 at the Plantation Party House in Spencerport.

Along the way, we launched Hilton’s Class of 1970 Alumni Fund with remarkable support from many classmates. Many thanks to those whose efforts and donations made it happen. It’s an achievement for which we can be very proud.

And the Class of 1970 is spearheading a new project … stay tuned for future announcements about the Hilton Alumni Association.

Hilton’s Class of 1970 is coming together once again to make great things happen. We offer many, many thanks to the Reunion Committee, the folks who have kept the ball rolling to make our “50 + 1” Class Reunion a reality.

As we once again come together after “50 + 1” years apart, the Class of 1970 has much to celebrate. We are here, we have grown with our children and friends, we are eager to share with “old” friends our last “50 + 1” years’ worth of adventure.

The miracle of modern technology has made possible this electronic album of memories and stories, and new photographs to help us reconnect. The technical genius of our own Maureen Short Biggers Reilly, Editor-in-Chief, has turned that possibility into reality. Many, many thanks, Maureen.

Sharon (Adams) Baziw

Married 42 years to Mike Baziw.

We have two children, Philip and Christy-Marie, daughter-in-law, Deanna, and granddaughter, Sierra.

Philip is Assistant CFO at the VA Hospital in Las Vegas, and Christy is a personal administrator for Texan families who you would recognize! Sierra is a military kid, born on December 25th in North Pole, Alaska (no kidding!). I do think the heaven and stars blessed her with a gentle, kind spirit.

I work in accounting here in Austin, Texas, where we have lived nine years.

We absolutely LOVE it here! Mike is retired from Home Depot. We have two miniature poodles, and we enjoy touring Texas and traveling to visit family every chance we get.

Hard to pin down a favorite vacation spot. Been to Australia twice, but hard to get to. Same with Fiji (once). Budapest and Prague are amazing. I guess Florida in the winter.

Favorite high school memory: Hmmm. My great friends from the wrestling team.

My favorite destinations so far are Detroit to see my son’s family, seeing him and his wife perform as opera singers, and travel to help take care of their children in various places. I also love visiting relatives in Colorado and NY. I retired in 2018 after being a teacher’s aid and then an Administrative Assistant in the Twin Cities area.

Another son, Matt (age 33) is a Crisis Counselor for a youth shelter in Nashville, living with his fiance’, Lisa, who is pursuing her degree to be Psychiatric Nurse Practioner.

My mom still resides in our family home on Hill Road in Hilton.

Hobbies: Golf, Pickleball, Mahjong, reading and attending Nashville Predator hockey games!

We retired to the Nashville area 5 years ago and love the climate, neighborhood, lower taxes and enjoy the many activities in the area.

They now reside in Vermont. Heather (HCS class of ‘97) married Chris Young in 2004. They live on Gorton Avenue in Hilton with their two children: Brianna, 14, and Jacob, who is 10.

Activities: Bicycle riding, watching grandkids’ activities. Visiting in-laws, Edith and the late Ted Schreppel, in Inlet, NY, in the Old Forge area; and visiting our son in Burlington, VT. Active members of St. George’s Episcopal Church, Hilton.

I enjoy reading, gardening, exercising, jigsaw puzzles and time with family and friends.

My favorite vacation spot is anywhere warm, sunny and a sandy beach by the ocean.

Lots and lots of high school memories...hard to choose. It has been a pleasure meeting up and spending time with former classmates.

Favorite memories from H.S.: Participating in the musicals and plays – Bye Bye Birdie, Sound of Music, Carousel, West Side Story; The Odd Couple.

I also have fond memories of practicing Greek drama monologues for Speech/Drama class out by the creek behind the school property (with my friend, Nora Moore). I enjoyed going to the little hole-in-the-wall restaurant downtown for lunch when we had open campus senior year – an amazing place, with the tall wood booths, original tin ceiling, etc. I remember gatherings of the “theater people” at the Schreppels’ house and dancing in the halls in our nuns’ outfits during rehearsal break in Sound of Music. I fondly remember the relief I

felt the year the dress code was banished and we first were allowed to wear pants to school.

I remember the first Earth Day when a bunch of us followed the dump trucks that had collected trash from people picking it up along the roads. We went down to Wegman’s corporate offices, and an argument broke out with some outside agitators about having the truckers dump the trash on their lawn. It was my first experience with how protests can get out of hand easily. I recall the wonderful feeling of lightness, breeze, freedom in the halls of the school in the Spring.

Of course, there are also some bad memories: the day someone broke some vials of skunk essence (which nearly choked us) and cleared the school out. I remember missing the bus (or nearly so) at the end of the day, and trying to run over to the Middle School to catch it (I still have dreams about this). I’ll never forget dissection in Bio Lab as well as SATs. I remember trying to make it to the freshman wing hall lockers before, in between, and after classes (also still have dreams about this).

Other unfortunate memories include 9th Grade Chemistry class; 10th Grade Geometry class; and Gym class (except when we did dance).

I remember the day a Social Studies teacher told some of his students to rough up some freshman kids who were smoking in the boys’ lavatory. Some of them refused to, and they were suspended for insubordination (not naming names, but it was a big issue throughout the town).

I do recall being told by the Vice-Principal that I needed to work on my tardiness because I might attain a position as an executive secretary someday (I was insulted at his limited views).

Attended Caz College and Syracuse University, graduating with BFA in Painting.

Taught Art at Benjamin Franklin Junior/Senior High School and Charlotte for a few years in Rochester.

Moved to Washington, DC and worked at Embassy of Iran. It was a very interesting experience until the Shaw fell. I have some wild stories!

Reconnected with college-mate, Winslow, and moved to Connecticut and became a Graphic Design Directer for a firm in Greenwich, CT.

Married in 1983.

Manufactured two kids, Kate, a CTICU Nurse at Yale, and son Chris, an IT Tech at Yale New Haven Health.

No grandkids yet. Kate is married but wants to work another 5 years or more before kiddos.

Following in mamma’s footsteps.

Hobbies? I guess my hobbies are my businesses which are all-consuming at the moment. But I love teaching workshops, gardening, travel and my therapy is singing with The Wilton Singers, with whom I have sung for 28 years. We normally perform two big concerts a year. For obvious reasons, last year was a bust but we did manage to create a virtual concert which was wonderful.

We are hoping to have a holiday concert, covid permitting and are rehearsing, masked, now.

I am blessed to have had a lovely life here in Connecticut with my hubby & kids and look forward to many more years…

Hobby: Enjoy the challenge of repurposing things, or what our grandkids call, “fabricating.” And really like spending time with our grandkids – they are the best!

Edie (Dickerson) Vannest

We met in September of 1971 at Roberts Wesleyan College, North Chili New York, as I began my Sophomore year and he transferred in as a Sophomore. We were married June 29, 1974 and moved to Wilmore, Kentucky where we worked while he achieved his Master of Divinity at Asbury Theological Seminary.

We have four grown children, who arrived in the order of boy-girl, boy-girl over nine years. Three of them are married with children. So we have seven grandchildren, five boys and two girls, ages from fourteen to five.

I am almost retired from Personal Support Work. What I mean by “almost retired” is that I now work part time. That allows me to do a bit of sewing (mostly mending, an old habit), learning bits and pieces about container gardening (because one daughter is into it and nudging me on), and I have signed up for on-line singing lessons (The Superior Singing Method). Further involvement continues with church activities.

Our vacations generally are to see family. That includes family reunions on the Vannest side 24

that sometimes sees us in Michigan – not likely to happen this year! We did take a cruise to Alaska for our 40th anniversary, which we highly recommend to anyone. With the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union I have touched down a few days each in Norway and New Zealand, both very beautiful.

With many of you, I played in the school band.

I enjoyed that very much, though my skill level never was great! I played one season of field hockey. When my older sister went to college I became chief cook and dishwasher at home, curtailing much expansion of interests at school.

During the Corona-19 virus episode my husband has been incorporating new (to us) technology into church service preparation, from Zoom to taping on phone to recording movies on camera, downloading to PC, using Adobe Premiere Pro to tie various elements together, then uploading to You-Tube. This has been interesting as well as challenging. Luckily, Maurice enjoys this kind of thing! We don’t know if some of this will play into the new “normal.”

Please take care of yourselves, and remember the One who loves you. He “cannot not” love you - because He is Love, He has to love each of us. He has proven His love for us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, His Son, and wants to claim us for His own. From there the choice is ours, to say “Yes” or “No” to His love.

Bill FitzSimmons

After HS, I attended Grove City College in Western PA and obtained a BA in Bus. Admin. Upon graduating, I moved back home to Walker, working in various business positions, at companies like Signal Finance, Kodak, Johnson & Johnson, several small businesses, and retired from GM in Honeoye Falls, after a 30+ year career in Purchasing. Along the way, I pursued my love of all things automotive, by attending auto races and car shows with cars I’d restored or built. At 41 I began to actually race as well, first in go-karts, progressing to Legends Cars, and finally a Vintage Modified, that I built and raced. Today, I still attend auto races, but leave the driving to younger folks.

In 1994 I married the love of my life, Jill, and became a Step-Dad to 3 wonderful sons, all of whom have since turned into responsible adult citizens. In retirement, Jill and I are enjoying travel, socializing with couple-friends (sometimes combined with wine tasting!), and of course, Grandkids!

We bucked the trend to downsize in our old age and moved into bigger house (with a bigger yard!) 2 yrs. ago. We are staying busy making it our own now and there’s little chance of being bored, due to lack of things to do. I’ve been a Spencerport resident since 1980, and we love the community.

Finally, since retirement from full time work, I’ve been working part-time delivering flowers for Justice, in Parma Center. It’s (almost) perfect for me, as I only work 3 days/week and usually have a 4 day weekend. To quote Joe Walsh, “Life’s been good to me so far.”

My hobbies include flower gardening, Hospice volunteering and serving many years as the Outreach Team Leader for my church.

Worked for Abercrombie & Kent, #1 Luxury Tour Operator in the world. I have experienced the cultures of some of the most unique places in the world. I lunched at the home of a Palestinian Christian family in Israel and shared yak with a family in Mongolia, walked amongst the blue footed boobies in the Galapagos and the Chinstrap penguins in Antarctica, stood before the Egyptian Pyramids and watched the sunset in the plains of the Serengeti. All this while staying in the most luxurious accommodations, ranging from a tented camp on a Kenya safari to an ostentatious hotel in Agra with a balcony view of the Taj Mahal. Each country opened my eyes even more to the poverty and faith of its people, understanding of the cultures, the beauty, and environments. I will lose my travel privileges now but have gained a worldly insight that no education could have ever provided.

Blessed with this opportunity, I am ok with the good old La Quinta Inns and road trips.

Family information: Two sons, Christopher and his wife Kathy live in Rochester (46 yrs old), Michael and his wife Lia live in Tampa (43).

Mike & Lia are the parents of my two grandchildren—Liam (9) and Penelope (8)— my pride and joy, and the best thing happening.

Blessed to have them in my life and nearby.

My other buddy is my schnauzer Rudy 16 yrs old, who has been with me on this wild journey.

Hobbies: Now that I am retired the fun will begin. I can dedicate my time to church and my passion our feeding ministry and homeless in the community. Anytime remaining I still love sewing, (especially dresses for my granddaughter) and fun crafts with the kids. Yah, and what the heck is pickle ball?

Like many, I have had ups and downs over the last 50 years. I had one marriage that ended in 1986, and I won’t say it failed– it just should have never happened.

I learned a lot through that period in my life. I have learned to look forward.

I taught pre-school for several years and was a nanny for 3 different families.

I spent the last 11 years working in a private childcare center where I started a music program for infants to 5 year olds. Those years were some of the most rewarding, watching children grow in their love for music.

I am retired now and I am very active in my church. I am involved in a chemical recovery ministry where I continue to grow in my recovery and help others to do the same.

In 2015, I had a heart attack which woke me up to the need to change my lifestyle.

Before the pandemic I was going to the YMCA, but I am still trying to work out and walk daily.

I belong to an organization, HopeWorldWide, and last year participated in a 24 hour basketball fundraiser to help hospitals in Cambodia. Plan on doing it again this year but it has been postponed till later in the fall. Most of my vacations are spent in NY visiting my sister and old friends.

I will never forget our trip to Japan the year we graduated. Looking forward to the reunion, whenever it happpens.

My favorite thing to do is work in my flower beds. I grow over 500 different varieties of daylilies. A few years ago, it was up to 750, but I cut back. This year I added a lot more.

My husband and I do energy healing, he is a Reiki Master and I am a natural healer. We mostly do this at fairs in PA, but have done it at our home as well. It’s just that we live way out, so it is a destination!

We also have an event here called Pumpkin Chunkin’ that we do each year, mostly on Columbus Day weekend Saturday. That particular weekend started because Darryl is Canadian, and his family could come down for a few days then (as their Thanksgiving is our Columbus Day, as it used to be called) and we did it with them. Darryl built a Trebuchet (catapault), and we grow smaller pie pumpkins to launch into the field. A big picnic with friends!

We are going to the Outer Banks, NC, to celebrate my 70th birthday next year. We rented a house that will hold family and friends that is 5 minutes’ walk to the ocean and has a built in pool, too! We visited there a couple years ago, and I really liked the area of Duck, NC. We have toured Great Britain and Italy, and were going on a Viking River cruise in 2020 from Budapest to Amsterdam to celebrate our 20th Anniversary, but it was cancelled. We still plan on going some time (it was cancelled again this year!) but maybe 2023.

I began working in our business, Brian Horn’s Auto Repair, Inc, and I’m still there – not retired YET!!

We have 5 grandchildren: Braiden, 15; Ellie Rose, 14; Brooke, 12; Lucas, 7; and Miss Maddie, 5.

Brian and I love to camp, travel, and go to NHRA Races. We did boating and motorcycling, traveling to Sturgis 3 times. We love traveling! We hope to do a lot more when we retire in a couple of years!

We are still coming to terms with losing our son, Stephen, who is in this picture with me. He left two beautiful babies, and we will be forever broken.

It will be so much fun to reconnect with everyone!

Hobbies these days are travel (when there’s not a pandemic), hiking, birding, painting & drawing, reading, taking classes and staying active.

Favorite vacation spot I haven’t found yet. Still enjoy exploring and having new adventures.

That was magic… stuff movies are made from. Had his degree in Electrical Engineering from RIT. Put off having children and enjoyed just being with each other and when I was 24 unplanned my son came along and then I had our daughter. Worked on and off and did work in a Library believe it or not! Once the children were in High School.

Did get re married to Ted Paris, he has his master’s degree in art and was in a band called Rain that many may know from the day.

Knew him earlier and he was the first person I went out with. Still married to him but live in Fort Myers for I truly never was a northern person. Even though my family is all German and northern Germany from the city of Recklinghausen. Ted went to Arcadia HS and was in Greece.

So many crafts and hobbies probably more than I can recall, still painting but now on walls not canvas. Europe has some glazing like I do in my house. Am still doing it in my home in Fort Myers, love living in a painting…or the background of one.

Traveled over in Europe more than the states.

Am very happy I did it when I did because things have changed in the past 20 years over there. Never got to Red Square in Russia but my son did. Been to NYC many times, Franklin, NC driven though states and Washington DC. To the other coast and Vegas Baby! So, life has been an adventure for Deb. Am not retired fully, still work hard and do labor work in remodeling my single wide I live in down south. Live in a co-op park that we own, it has four pools and clubhouses. We run the park too, not a company.

Favorite place for vacation, can not tell you that, for I am not done yet! Love them all and am so grateful each and every day I get up.

Tomorrow may bring something better than what was seen before!

I live in Greece at the present time. I have lived in either Monroe County or Orleans County since graduation. I have 4 children, 3 boys and a girl. My youngest son is engaged, and they will be getting married next year. I have 11 grandchildren.

Kathy Governor (HCS Class of ‘71) was my wife for a little over 23 years, and all my children we share together. We divorced in 1994. Sadly, she passed away 3 years ago from lung cancer. She was fearless throughout the whole ordeal. She had a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and she was working for one of her clients at home on the morning of the day she died.

I didn’t think I had any hobbies until I walked out into the garage and counted my fishing poles – all 29 of them, and 5 tackle boxes. I have a small 14-ft fishing boat as well.

Also in the garage is a 1979 MGB. I don’t think of her as a hobby because I have an ongoing tumultuous relationship with her. Just a few days ago, I had her running and went to check on what lights may need replacing. As I shut off the headlight switch, it disintegrated in my hand. I have her on jack stands at the moment because she is in need of some repairs, the clutch mostly.

I like playing Poker and Euchre.

John Grisham, Ken Follett, and James Patterson are some of my favorite authors. My favorite book is Out of the Night, by Jan Valtin, copyright 1941.

Golf is what keeps me on the Brink of Insanity, but it does keep me humble. It’s a curse, man! In over 30 years of playing, I never got very good at

it. I never take a Mulligan, though I am sometimes very, very, very tempted to. I haven’t played yet this year because of the Covid-19 and that doggone MG. I usually play 2 or 3 times a week.

I retired as a Teamster with about 32 years in the Union. I worked at a trucking company called New Penn for the last 25 years. I retired in February 2009.

I loved it there. After I retired, I worked other several jobs. One was a construction company driving a Lowboy hauling and operating heavy equipment wherever they needed it. I worked at the Greece Central School District in their Food Distribution Center for a few years. I completely retired from working about 3 years ago. I can’t figure out how I had time to work. An appointment seems to upset the whole day for me now for some reason.

Pets... my girlfriend has a small dog named Niffy.

He is a 14-year-old Bichon’ / Maltese mix. He looks like a poodle to me. but every time I say that I get whacked. When I take him for a walk and if someone gets wise or snickers, I say something like... “Don’t get it twisted, Pal. This Guy is a KILLER.” Vacation spots... in NY, it’s the 1000 Islands and out of state would be the Outer Banks, NC in the Kitty Hawk area, on the oceanside. The best time I had on vacation was a fishing trip around 1982.

It was about 300 miles north of Ottawa, Quebec, Canada.

The recent picture of me was taken in May of this year, 2020. That is my Covid-19 Lockdown Look. It is the first beard I ever grew, and I shaved it off a few hours after this picture was taken. That picture is about as good as it gets for me now a days.

I was married to Dick Starwald for 30 years. We raised two sons (also Hilton grads) who have grown and established families of their own. We have welcomed two remarkable daughters-in-law and four grandchildren who range in age from nine to twelve years old. Although Dick and I are now long divorced, we still share family birthday celebrations, holidays, and grandkids’ activities— their concerts, art shows, and sporting events.

For nearly 20 years now, I have enjoyed a comfortable and happy life with Rick Francis. No surprise—he makes me laugh every day! We share six grown children, their spouses and significant others, and nine grandchildren. They do manage to keep us busy.

Rick and I have made our home together on Benedict Beach in Hamlin. In fact, it’s the site of some long-ago Class of ’70 shenanigans—back in our high school days, did you ever go to a party at Austin Warner’s house on Benedict Beach in Hamlin? No one (including me) could ever have predicted any of this!

Rick and I are both retired, but he often says that we both “flunked retirement.”

After leaving a twenty-year career as a high school math teacher and then a middle school principal, I went back to teaching math as an adjunct at Monroe Community College. Yes, I am still enjoying it, too!

In 2009 Kodak offered an early retirement, we owned a few rental units, so I took the package intending to work full time on the rentals.

Nearly bankrupt in 2010, I went back to work part time and ended up selling service and supplies full time to automotive paint shops.

By 2013 the rentals were profitable so I left the sales job.

Our two grandsons, aged 14 and 12, are good students and athletes, competing in every season. Sue and I attend home field events and tournaments. Our son was married in Boulder, CO in 2018 and lives with his wife near Denver.

Both work for United Airlines, and as parents of employees, we use our flight benefits to visit them and the rest of our families.

Our favorite vacation spot was Kona Village Resort on Hawaii’s big island. We had planned to go there every year in retirement, but the resort was ruined by the 2011 tsunami that devastated Japan. We’ve taken early November vacations at Hilton Head Island for the last couple of years. Traveling by train is so relaxing that we do it when ever we can. Our last trip was up the Pacific coast, LA to Seattle.

We love that vacation starts when boarding the train, and always travel in a roomette.

Walking every day and working out with Sue at the YMCA 6 times a week, and feeling really healthy, I was shocked and angry when knocked down with a major heart attack in 2017. Fully recovered and working out like before, but less sugar and Tennessee BBQ in my diet these days. Mondays we rest by delivering meals on wheels to seniors in Memphis. We plan to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary in October.

Have worn several university administrator hats in all five states and I got serve as dean of students for the summer 2012 Semester at Sea voyage, spending 66 days in the Mediterranean with 500 college students visiting Spain, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Morocco, Turkey and Portugal. It was an amazing journey!

Following the layoff from Kodak, I obtained my CLD and drove tractor trailer deliveries, in and out of state.

The winter of 2003/2004 convinced me that I had enough of the cold weather and high taxes and moved to Greenville, SC. What a great decision!

Twelve years there, snow storms are 2 inches of white stuff on the ground and everything closes.

We were closer to our daughter and grandson, and enjoyed being a spectator at his many events.

When the decision was made to totally retire, the logical place to try was an “Active Adult Community” in Florida. After 3 years here, it still seems like a great decision. We haven’t seen a flake of snow, our feet are warm, and our pool is to.

Travel – I have had the privilege of being able to travel from coast to coast on multiple occasions, mainly by motorhome. The latest was to participate in our son’s retirement from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer, after serving for 24 years. The trips to California are not as frequent as we would like, but it is always great to see our California family, and how much those kids are growing.

We like to go to Jamaica. We have been there three times along with Diane (Hadlock)and John Parsons. I also love the Adirondacks, been a long time since going there, maybe I will add it to my “bucket list.”

I cherish my high school years. Had a lot of great friends and teachers. There were times at school where we were little bit preoccupied having fun. But we made it through. There is one time that comes to mind is when we had a snow storm and numerous people skipped school and went to Durand Eastman Park and went sledding on cafeteria trays that were “ borrowed” from school. Suicide Hill here we come!

We are not able to come to the reunion.

Hilton and Steve was in a successful career with a Rochester manufacturing company.

Unfortunately, we lost Steve to a terrible accident doing something he loved…maintaining his classic VW bus. After a few years of mourning, I met a nice guy who really cared for me and the boys, and we ultimately ended up in Lake Lure, NC, where I began teaching again. Once more, misfortune struck, and I lost another love, this time to a bee sting!!!

Relocated to the Charlotte, NC area, began teaching again, and was introduced to Jerry… love at first sight. Married, continued teaching, built a home in SC, enjoyed a normal life, often returning to NY for family reunions, living the good life….until, as my luck would have it, lost another good man to health issues in March 2019. Sister Tracy (Class of ‘69) brought me to NY summer of 2019 and I’ve since been living in retirement in her lake cottage, along with son Aaron and his partner. Missing my loves, but glad to be with family and friends in NY. Hope to see more of the Class of ‘70 in summer of 2021 rescheduled 50th reunion, if not before.

Went back to University in Toronto to complete my RN education. 2nd marriage—great, together 38 years— no children. My husband is Dutch so I been lucky to have visited Europe a fair number of times. Have joined the “Snowbird” crowd and go to Fla 5 months in the winter. My Mom (91 yrs old) lives there all year round. We sold our home a few years ago and moved into a downtown apartment, which we both love. On a sad note, I lost my sister Marcia in 2002. In general life has been good with a few hiccups along the way!

Family: Our daughter Carissa and her husband Robert are both Naval officers based in VA Beach so not too far away. As far as grandchildren go, they let us know we will be grandparents in November 2020 so we are very excited! As far as pets go, they have an adorable Whoodle named Roger and Jim and I have a Tuxedo rescue kitty named Pistachio who rules the house!

Hobbies: In 2015 we moved from Annapolis to our new house down the street from the marina where we have our boat. Our lot backs up to the woods and protected wetlands. We enjoy gardening/ landscaping at home plus exploring the Chesapeake Bay with family and friends.

Favorite Vacation Spot? We love Kauai and still use our every-other-year timeshare week we’ve had there since Carissa was little.

Favorite high school memory: Learning how to play the card game Euchre in the Senior Lounge. Plus, who knew that someday I would need to explain to people how to pronounce “Youker”. Responding “sounds like the card game Euchre” seems to work if they have ever heard of it!
