We’re So Glad You’re Here
As we look ahead to summer, we are filled with anticipation for all that God will do in this new season. With longer days and new opportunities to grow in faith and community, this is a great time to find meaningful ways to connect here at Hillside.
Our theme for the year, Focus on Jesus, will guide us as we continue in the Word together. This season, we’ll be continuing our study in the book of Luke, reflecting on Jesus’ life and teachings as we deepen our faith.
In this guide, you’ll find a comprehensive calendar of events. You can also access this information on our website and app. Be sure to check out hillsidefellowship.org/summerguide for detailed descriptions and registration information for each ministry event.
We’re looking forward to a season filled with growth, connection, and an intentionfilled focus on Jesus.
At Hillside we believe that Jesus Changes Everything! We want to be a people that live humbly under the authority of God’s Word and joyfully under the Kingship of Jesus. It is our heart to be a people that are warm and welcoming to every soul that we encounter. An inviting people that inspire others to come and join us on the mission that Jesus has set before us. A nurturing and selfless body, where people can be free to be vulnerable, to grow, and to flourish. To be an optimistic people who focus on the mattering things of life, and deeply encourage each other.
Knowing that we struggle in this fallen world and can never live this out perfectly, we depend on one another to be honest and authentic, patient and forgiving, extenders and recipients of extravagant grace. And we rest in the goodness of God, remembering that we are not on our own. It is His mighty power at work within us, and He is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine.
WE EXIST TO WORSHIP GOD

LUKE: FOCUS ON JESUS
God’s Forming Power - Luke 5 - 11:13
We are continuing our study of Luke, focusing on God’s forming power in our lives. We’ll see how Jesus calls, shapes, and equips His disciples, showing us what it truly means to follow Him. As we grow in faith, we’ll also explore how serving flows naturally from a transformed heart—not out of guilt, but as a response to His work in us.
Hillside Kids is dedicated to helping children from birth through 5th grade grow in their knowledge of Jesus through engaging, age-specific classes during all three worship services. Our program ensures that by the end of fifth grade, children will have studied the entire Bible three times, all while being nurtured in a fun and loving environment.
Hillside’s special needs ministry creates a safe and inclusive space where every child can experience the love of Jesus. Our trained volunteers provide personalized care during weekend services, ensuring that all children feel valued and supported. Christianity is not a solo sport. When Jesus calls us into a relationship with Him, He calls us into a relationship with His people. At Hillside, we are truly convinced that Jesus changes everything; and practically, we believe this change happens in the context of community. It is in these groups we can grow together as disciples and care for one another as family in authentic relationships.

We believe baptism is a public proclamation of faith and new life in Jesus Christ. It is an outward public testimony of an inward invisible transformation. If you would like to schedule a baptism or learn more about baptism at Hillside, we can help!
While the Bible does not mandate a local church membership per se, it expects that Christians will be lovingly committed to one another and willingly accountable to the oversight and authority of Godly eldership within a church body.
