LEADER IN TRAINING PROGRAM 13 TO 15 YEARS $400/2-WEEK PROGRAM COHORT 1: JULY 8-11 & JULY 14-18 COHORT 2: AUGUST 5-8 & AUGUST 11-15 This 2 week Leader in Training (LIT) program welcomes motivated youth between the age of 13 and 15 looking to take on new challenges, develop leadership and communication skills, and make a positive impact in their community. The 2 weeks are split between in-class workshops and activities and a camp placement where they get to put their learning into practice! 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. ● Workshops on leadership, communication, problem solving and goal setting● Camp specific training and games ● Developing program plans and facilitating activities ● Basic First Aid, resume and interview preparation
Week 2 of 2 (5 days) ● » » » » »
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. ● Camp placement with counsellor mentor ● Opportunities to practice facilitation and leadership skills with camp group ● Hands-on experience working with campers in a fun and active environment ● Performance feedback
