Hearing loop assistive listening system

All program rooms are equipped with a hearing loop that can be accessed through hearing aids and cochlear implants with a t-coil, or a portable receiver. Receivers can be signed out at the front desk.

Be sure to check in at the kiosk

When you purchased your membership you were provided with a key tag which enables you to check in for classes and activities and record your attendance for the day. This saves staff from having sign-in sheets at every activity and the front desk. It also provides staff with helpful information on programming use trends and demographics. Please be sure to swipe your card and check in to your activities. You can also use your first name and phone number if you forgot your key tag. For replacement tags, please see Cindy at the front desk.

Building security

As part of our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our building and its occupants, certain areas of the building and grounds are under video monitoring. These areas include the parking lots, lobby, hallways, multipurpose rooms and fitness room. The system is in place to deter criminal activity, monitor safety hazards and ensure compliance with building policies and procedures. The system is designed to record and store footage only as needed for security purposes. Access to the footage is restricted to authorized personnel. Please contact Jill Hall, senior services manager, if you have any questions.

Inclement weather policy

Our staff will regularly monitor weather forecasts, paying special attention to snowfall predictions, extreme cold temperatures and air quality. All outdoor activities, including trail walks and trips, will be canceled if the air quality index reaches 201 or more for the destination.

If programs/classes are canceled, participants will be notified as soon as a decision is made, but at least one hour prior to the scheduled time of the event. Senior center staff will communicate cancelations or delays to participants through various channels, including a phone call, text and/or email.
