DEBATE MATE
Mr Lamb writes: Highgate Wood fielded four teams in Round 1 of the Urban Debate League held at Parliament Hill on 23rd January. The teams argued with other schools about allowing extremist parties to be televised and if gambling should be illegal. At times the debates were quite heated! With three losses and five wins the teams performed exceptionally well. They demonstrated their commitment, team work and preparation whilst also developing their speaking and critical thinking skills. Well done to the teams!
