TRADITION, EXCELLENCE AND PRIDE IRAC has become known as the provider of the highest quality replica and simulated-fire machine guns. It is the standard by which other replica machine guns are judged. Over the past 40 years, IRAC has been the trusted source for true replication of machine gun visual and auditory authenticity. Because each replica is handcrafted and inspected by IRAC’s world-class weapon specialists, they are relied upon by top military trainers, movie studios, reenactment groups and museums worldwide. When you choose IRAC, you are choosing the name rooted in tradition, excellence and pride. No one builds it like IRAC.

MAKING IRAC REPLICAS The principal difference between a run-of-the-mill replica and an ATFE-certified IRAC replica machine gun is our pursuit of excellence. Each replica machine gun is made in our cutting-edge manufacturing center. Here, specialists use a combination of computer-aided machines and experienced craftsmanship to make sure every part fits perfectly and performs as intended. While other companies choose to piece their guns together using cheap parts, our passionate team incorporates world class tools, materials and expertise to construct IRAC replica weapons and reach the highest quality possible. Because each simulated weapon is tailored to meet our customer’s needs, no two IRAC replicas are alike. When our customers receive their product, they get a simulated fire weapon that is not only authentic, but expertly constructed and completely unique.

ATFE APPROVED IRAC replica and simulator weapons are a symbol of quality and craftsmanship. When you receive an IRAC simulated weapon, you will have confidence knowing it was constructed with great consideration of safety and legal compliance. Every IRAC replica and sim-fire weapon has been approved and certified by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATFE) as a “non-gun.” This unique certification allows IRAC replica weapon owners to display and operate their products in complete compliance with the ATFE.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE ATFE-CERTIFIED?

WHY ATFE APPROVED IS GOOD NEWS FOR YOU

The ATFE certification process is a lengthy and rigorous process. For a replica weapon, simulated-fire or not, to be ATFE-Certified, it must be inspected by the ATFE and meet required design standards. For example, the receiver’s right-side plate on our .50 caliber and .30 caliber models reach a level of thickness that prevent actual machine gun parts from being integrated into the system. This makes our .50 caliber and .30 caliber models right side plate ATFE approved. It is impossible for a replica weapon to be in full compliance with the law, without adhering to ATFE-approved design standards.

Because our simulators are visually and audibly indistinguishable from live-fire weapons, those who are not familiar with an IRAC product may become alarmed. Due to IRAC simulators being ATFE-Certified, owners and operators feel comfortable in their ability to quickly dispel misconceptions of the weapon’s legal status.

CHOOSE YOUR WEAPON Get the right simulated weapon to fit your needs. Whether you need a simulated-fire for an upcoming film project, or a static replica for your museum display, choose what’s right for you. All simulated weapon types are handcrafted and constructed from lightweight and durable aircraft-grade aluminum.

REPLICA IRAC Replica models are the perfect simulated weapons for mounts and displays. They are manufactured from durable materials and constructed so that every detail accurately represents the actual machine gun. Replica barrels are bored to 8” and are unable to be upgraded to sim-fire.

CONSUMER GRADE IRAC Consumer Grade models are built for those who prefer to leave the option open to one day upgrade to simulated-fire. This model is manufactured from the highest-quality materials and constructed so that every detail accurately represents the actual machine gun. Consumer Grade barrels are fully bored and the chamber is designed for potential conversion to IRAC’s proprietary simulated fire system.

MIL-SPEC IRAC Mil-Spec models are built with the highest-quality materials and have IRAC’s proprietary simulated-fire system pre-installed. Modifiable rates of fire are preset to match authentic simulation of weapon system firing. Specialized connectors ensure secure and protected connections to O2 and propane tanks. Durable silicone sealant provides the simulated weapon internal mechanisms with an extra layer of dirt, dust and moisture protection.* If you’re looking to have a simulated weapon that will look, sound and feel like the real thing, Mil-Spec is right for you.

*Silicone-based

sealant is an extra-level of protection. It does not guarantee full protection of all elements and circumstances.

HISTORY The MK19 was originally developed to provide the U.S. Navy with an effective riverine patrol weapon in Vietnam. Although the MK19 is a recent entry into the Army weapons inventory, development began in 1963. The original version, called the MK18, was a hand-cranked, multiple grenade launcher patented by the Honeywell Corporation and could only be fired as fast as the operator could manipulate the crank. In 1966, the need for more firepower inspired the development of a self-powered 40 MM machine gun called the MK19 MOD 0. Product improvements that began in 1971 resulted in the 1972

MOD 1, of which only six were produced. The MOD 1 performed effectively in Navy riverine patrol craft and broader applications for the MK19 were found. In 1973, the Navy developed the MOD 2, which featured improved reliability, safety and maintainability. In 1976, a Product Improvement Program (PIP) was initiated that resulted in yet another MK19 redesign, the MOD 3. The Army adopted the MK19 MOD 3 in 1983 to be used within the tactical environment for defense, retrograde, patrolling, rear area security, Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) and special operations.

HISTORY By request of the U.S. Army, the .50 Caliber Machine Gun was developed by John M. Browning towards the end of WWI. By 1917, experiences in France verified the need for a heavy machine gun that could act against aircraft, tanks and first-appearing armored vehicles. By July 1917, the Browning .30-06 machine gun was scaled up and reinforced to handle a

.50 Caliber cartridge. Browning assembled the first .50 Caliber prototype at the Winchester plant on November 12, 1918. After a series of testing multiple .50 Caliber variations in the 1920s, an improved version of the Model 1921–the Browning M2 .50 Caliber Heavy Barrel (HB)–was officially adopted in 1933.

HISTORY By request of the U.S. Army, the .50 Caliber Machine Gun was developed by John M. Browning towards the end of WWI. After the war in 1921, the new machine gun was classified as a “heavy machine gun.” Initially,

the .50 caliber was a water-cooled weapon system. However, in 1933, an air-cooled variant was developed for use in aircraft. This air-cooled version proved capable of keeping the barrel cooler for longer periods of fire.

HISTORY While the Browning M1917 machine gun was scarcely used in early American military history, it went on to fight in most all major conflicts in the 20th Century. The Browning M1917 was accepted into service after some impressive test firings for the U.S. Army. Despite its limited availability in WWI, the system came into its own during inter war years and became the featured heavy machine gun of the U.S. Army during

WWII and the Vietnam War. While the Browning M1917 was initially categorized as a heavy machine gun by 1917 standards, the weapon was later “downgraded” to the medium machine gun category. The system was produced in enough numbers to ensure the Browning name would be synonymous with the U.S. Army for generations and lead to further Browning developments in the decades to come.

HISTORY The M1919A4 Browning light machine gun was developed by renowned gun maker, John Browning, and was modified after the M1917A1. The M1919A4 may have had a slower rate of fire than the M1917, but it weighed less, making it a much more desirable infantry

weapon. The fully automatic M1919A4 was typically used by infantry in WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. This weapon is mounted on the M2 tripod or used as a fixed machine gun on armored vehicles.

HISTORY In 1957, the iconic M60 (a.k.a. “The Pig”) was created to meet the U.S. military’s need for a modern machine gun that fired shorter rounds. The M60 is a gas-operated, air-cooled, belt-fed, automatic machine gun that fires from the open-bolt position. The M60’s rate of fire is a maximum of 550 rounds per minute. This weapon was

originally intended to replace the M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle and M1919 Browning machine gun. Due to its widespread popularity, the M60 was heavily used by all military branches of the U.S. forces during the Vietnam War. The system’s large size and weight necessitated a two-man team to successfully operate it during combat situations.
