SSP Years 5-6 Cross Country Finals Mrs Allen

On Saturday 8 February the cross country finals took place in Ashbourne. It was a fantastic sunny but cold morning. Mr Molyneux and I witnessed some amazing results – Highfields Cluster boys won gold – congratulations!

There were 50 runners in each race and cluster teams from Bakewell, Hope Valley, Anthony Gell and Queen Elizabeth’s took part.

SSP manager, Janice Price said, “What an outstanding run from the Highfields team to have a team score of 30 with next best being 70 to the cluster in 2nd place – they smashed it!”

Highfields cluster’s first six runners home have all qualified to represent the SSP at the National Championships in Leicester in March.

Highfields girls finished fifth – well done!
