Mock interview day

On Monday our year 11 students had the opportunity to experience the taste of a real interview as part of a mock interview day.

The local business community, parents with interviewing experience and school governors gave up their time generously to interview our students. We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved in the day for their commitment to the school.

Students were asked questions and presented their CV’s, giving them a valuable insight into what a job interview can entail. They found the experience extremely beneficial and it opened their eyes to what lies beyond the school environment.

Employers commented on how confident they were and how fantastic it was to hear such determination from them as young adults. A massive well done to year 11 and thank you to all the volunteers that helped.

Year 13 scripted drama exam

Our year 13 A Level Drama and Theatre Studies performed their final practical assessment this week. What a brilliant performance that showed they are excellent actors!

Well done to each of them!

Highfields School Musical

This year’s musical is Sister Act! It has now been cast and the students involved will begin rehearsals in March, alongside Miss Colgan, Mr Rowley, Miss Hendry and Miss Bonsall. The performances will take place between 13-16 July in the Wheeldon Hall.
