Match report

Under 16 girls football v Lady Manners

Mr Shirtcliffe

Our under 16 girls football team played in the second round of the County Cup on Thursday night against Lady Manners School. The weather was cold wet and windy, however both teams managed to demonstrate excellent resolve and determination and battled through the conditions.

The first half was end to end and our girls matched the opposition, we managed to gel well as a team and demonstrated some excellent play going forwards as well as showing a steal like defence. We went in with a half time lead and after the break we managed to score more goals as Lady Manners pushed forward.

The goal of the game came via a bullet header from Dixie. All in all the game was played in excellent spirits by both teams and our students yet again were a true credit to the school. Highfields wound up victors and progress to the next round.
