We currently have two parent governor vacancies open to parents/carers of students at Highfields School.

In all types of schools governing boards should have a strong focus on three core strategic functions:  ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;  holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its students, and the performance management of staff; and  overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

There is an expectation that on election you will be willing to:  undertake appropriate induction training;  prepare for and attend all meetings regularly;  undertake further training to develop your skills.
