“Highbury Fields School continues to be an outstanding school.”

WELCOME FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Dear students, parents and carers,
A very warm welcome to our Highbury Fields Sixth Form prospectus.
Our sixth form represents the final school-based step of students’ journey to academic and social success. Our aim for our sixth form students is, by the time they complete their studies, for them to be self-determined young adults, complete with the academic credentials and social skill set required to make informed decisions about their futures.
As they have done in Year 7-11, Highbury Fields sixth formers benefit from a holistic curriculum. Through our sixth form studied, pastoral and enrichment curricula, students are supported to develop into wholly independent learners, who have the emotional intelligence required to navigate the exciting – and potentially challenging – early stages of adulthood and the range of experiences necessary to foster an informed world view.
Our studied curriculum is highly academic. A-level and BTEC courses are specifically chosen to ensure our all of students progress to the full breadth courses at the most prestigious universities, that in turn facilitate rewarding and meaningful career prospects.
It is this specialist curriculum, combined with the great teaching and great relationships that characterise our school and sixth form, that means our sixth formers graduate to university with the broadest of horizons, determined and ready to take their place in the world.
I cannot wait to continue working with you all or to see the fantastic futures that you will create for yourselves.
