The sun is shining, flowers are blooming, and we are already seeing temperatures in the 80’s. The Board has been working hard in the off-season and we are all getting excited for the summer.. Opening day is Saturday, May 27th. It’s only 37 days away! There is a lot that needs to be done before we can open. Please read through this newsletter to learn more and how you can contribute to make this the best season yet! We can’t wait to see everyone pool-side for another memorable summer.

● Membership Dues must be paid by Thursday, May 11, 2023 If membership dues are not paid, you will be unable to use the Club. Membership dues can be paid using your eSoft account
● Each bond is responsible for the $50 volunteer fee. If the fee is not paid, you will not be able to use the pool.

● Bond Redemption: If you are looking to redeem your bond, you need to follow the instructions and complete the required paperwork. Information regarding the process can be found here Redemption requests must be received by 12/31/2023 to avoid paying membership dues in 2024. If the redemption request for 2024 is received after 12/31/23, you are responsible for the membership dues. Bonds returned to the Club will be sold in the order they are received. You have the option to sell your own bond. Previous members have listed their bond on social media platforms such as Facebook.

Operations
● Spring Cleaning ~ The first clean-up day is scheduled for Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Please click here to sign up! This is the first year we have implemented a volunteer fee. The fee is $50 and is attached to your membership dues. To receive the $50 fee back, each bond must provide 3 hours of service to the Club. Volunteering includes but is not limited to attending promotional events such as Horsham Day to help at the Hideaway table and helping at the Club on clean-up days. If there is anything you would like to do to help at the Club outside of scheduled times, please contact Chris Trucksess at operations@hideawayswimclub.com
● The crack that has developed in the pool that divides the deep end from the 5 ft area will be repaired prior to the start of the season.
● We are accepting flower donations for 2023. If you would like to make a donation of flowers to put in our flower beds or flower pots, please bring them to Spring Cleaning day on April 29, 2023. We are looking for hearty plants and flowers that do well in the sun. We are also accepting potting soil donations.

*Qualifications
Min Age: No minimum age, but swimmers must be able to complete a lap of the pool competitive freestyle (with side breathing) as well as have knowledge of 1 other competitive stroke Divers will be instructed and evaluated
Pre Team: We are proud to offer a 'ladybug' pre-team with the goal of competing in at least 1 meet during the season Ladybugs must be able to complete one lap of the pool unassisted, by the beginning of morning practices, 6/19
Diving: The dive team offers several levels of dive instruction, from beginners to HS athletes New divers may not be ready to compete, but the goal is to get on the boards for meets eventually

The Swim and Dive Team are in planning mode for an exciting summer season!
PRACTICES
All NEW swimmers are invited to meet the coaches and be evaluated on Tuesday 5/30 - anytime from 5:30-7:30 If you are unable to attend, your athlete will be evaluated* on their first day of practice
● Afternoon practices (Pre Season) run WEDNESDAY 5/31 until we switch to AM practices Monday 6/19
● DAILY PM SCHEDULE starting Wed 5/31
○ SWIM:
■ 4:30-5:30 13 years +
■ 5:30-6:30 10-12
■ 6:30-7:15 9 and under
○ DIVE:
■ 5:30-6:30 9 and under
