When I took the reins as publisher of “Metro Woman Magazine,” I envisioned what owning a magazine would look like: I would help smallbusiness owners market their products and services through the publication...because that’s what I’m good at! During a conversation with my friend the other day, he asked,” What’s your story?” I explained my background and passion for marketing. He said, “No. Why do women pick up the magazine? What’s the magazine’s story?” I told him how I’d picked up “Metro Woman” over the years, and how thousands of women in the greater Springfield area have enjoyed the magazine, too. “But WHY?” he asked. “Who is a Metro Woman?” Well! That definitely threw me for a loop! With more than 10,000 copies of each issue distributed and even more readers online and followers on social media, I couldn’t come up with a clear answer. So, the time has come to clearly define Your Story - Who is a Metro Woman? A Metro Woman is a woman with an active lifestyle who is fulfilling her dreams. She consciously chooses to take time to just breathe... whether that means taking a moment for herself to flip through a magazine, shop at a local boutique, grab a cup of coffee, or pamper herself at a spa or salon. She adores exceptional customer service, is a loyal consumer, makes friends wherever she goes, and loves her community. That, my dear friends, is our definition of a Metro Woman. Does this describe you? Join the conversation on our Facebook page and tell us YOUR unique story of being a Metro Woman and how “Metro Woman Magazine” influences your life.
