“My involvement with Toni Moore began when we were introduced by a mutual friend, Rick Wheeler, in 2015. I immediately fell in love with Toni’s passion and was sincerely inspired by the story of Hospitality House. I joined the board, quickly became Chairman, and we have been supporters ever since. I’ve been involved with many nonprofits and I believe Hospitality House is the purest, most selfless organization I have ever seen. They meet people at their greatest time of need and offer them amazing hospitality and spiritual support. Angela and I are huge fans!” - Sean Kouplen, Care Keeper since January 2017

Just as the pineapple is the symbol of hospitality, our Care Keepers symbolize the compassion and hope that Hospitality House of Tulsa offers to all the guests who come to us for shelter, meals, travel assistance, and spiritual support Care Keepers is our monthly donor program that not only stabilizes our cash flow and keeps our doors open, but at just the right time provides:

An uninterrupted night of rest in a comfortable bed with fresh clean sheets, blankets, and pillows.

A hot shower each day where clean, white, soft towels provide not just the necessities, but also the confidence and dignity for the family caregiver to face another day of support for their hospitalized patient.

A pantry shelf stocked with coffee, breakfast items, and snacks which they can quickly grab on their way out the door. While our guests are focused on supporting their patients, the snacks communicate that we are focused on them.

Transportation through our 24-hour UBER program for guests who do not have a personal vehicle with them. When the nurse’s call comes in the middle of the night that their patient’s health is declining, UBER picks them up and delivers them to their patient’s bedside in minutes, giving them precious time with their loved ones

In previous years, we have hosted Care Keeper Luncheon events to introduce potential new donors to the mission of Hospitality House and invite them to support the families of Hospitality House as monthly donors. Due to Covid, we have not had any Care Keeper luncheons in the last three years, but we are excited to announce we have one planned for 2023! Stay tuned for more details.

LOGDINGLY!

Lodgingly functions much like other 3rd party travel booking sites which offer discounted hotel rooms for vacation and business travelers.

However, for our families, their medical crisis is no vacation, and paying rates marketed to leisure travelers who have expendable income is not affordable.

Lodgingly allows us to contract rooms with quality hotels near hospitals and offer these rooms for 10-25% less than families can book these same rooms through other 3rd party booking sites.

Additionally, our Lodgingly guests receive restaurant discounts, prayer support, access to convenient transportation, and even pet boarding for those who cannot leave their pets at home when seeking medical treatment out of town.

Proceeds from Lodgingly then help support the families staying at Hospitality House who cannot afford to stay in a hotel.

Meet Amy Gohl! Meet Amy Gohl!

In November, we hired our new Lodgingly Provider Relations Specialist, Amy! Amy will provide education, materials, resources, referral procedures, awareness, and outcome measurement results to medical providers in rural and metro areas.

Once informed and equipped, the medical staff can educate patients and families about the services Lodgingly and Hospitality House offer by providing information when appointments for treatment are made.

Already, she is meeting with nurses and hospital marketing coordinators and providing brochures in hospital waiting rooms.

Amy grew up in Illinois and Wisconsin and attended Valparaiso University In 2014, she moved to Oklahoma

After 20+ successful years of selling hardware and software solutions, she joined Lodgingly to bring the program to patients and families who need personal, affordable medical lodging.

She loves to network and bring people together Amy strongly believes in the mission of Hospitality House and Lodgingly. Through her daughter's medical crisis at a young age, she understands what it’s like to need help while away from home.

We are excited to see Lodgingly grow in 2023 and enable us to reach more families traveling to Tulsa in a medical crisis.
