Your support

during the pandemic has helped us:

1. Keep our caregivers and staff safe. You’ve helped bring personal protective equipment to our staff on the front lines of the pandemic. Thank you for helping us purchase face shields, masks, gloves and other supplies.

2. Treat critically ill patients. The virus affects the respiratory system. Ventilators are critical to help very sick patients who can’t breathe effectively on their own. We’re grateful for gifts like yours, which have helped us purchase additional ventilators.

3. Offer COVID-19 testing in the community. In collaboration with the City of Pasadena and the County of Los Angeles, we outstationed caregivers at the Rose Bowl, administering COVID-19 tests to thousands of community members. We were able to take this important step in tracking the virus — and improving local awareness and safety — because of you. Thank you!

4. Be prepared. To prepare for a surge in cases, we increased our bed capacity by 50 percent. Your support helped us convert more than 300 beds for use in treating COVID-19 patients as needed.

5. Get patients the care they need. Ramping up our response to the coronavirus pandemic severely stretched our financial resources. At the same time, cancellation of elective procedures temporarily eliminated a significant funding stream. Despite this, with your help, we’ve been able to serve every patient who needed immediate care, throughout this time of crisis.
