As Gators, we believe we’re at our strongest when we support and celebrate our similarities as well as our differences. That’s why diversity and inclusion are more than buzzwords at HGTC. It’s about communities and individuals—students, staff, and professors who combine their own unique identities and views by working together.

THREE CAMPUS LOCATIONS TO SERVE YOU.

Take a 360-degree tour of each of our campuses, either on your desktop, laptop, phone, or VR headset.

If you would like to visit a campus in person, you can schedule a tour.

MAKE IT HAPPEN AT HGTC.

HGTC has the resources to foster your potential in an immersive learning environment where hands-on meets high-tech. Innovative training, state-of-the-art facilities, and industry experts provide a solid academic foundation. With over 70 associate degree and certificate programs, you will easily find course options that fit your needs and schedule, from short-term programs to online classes and associate degrees.

MAKE IT AFFORDABLE.

If you’re worried about tuition, don’t be. HGTC has one of the lowest tuition costs in South Carolina.

COMPLETE THE FAFSA; THE EARLIER, THE BETTER. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the form you need to complete to receive financial aid to help pay for college. The FAFSA form is not just an application for tuition assistance; it’s also for work-study funds, student loans, scholarships, and grants. If you don’t complete the FAFSA, you could lose out on thousands of dollars to help you pay for college.

Simply go to studentaid.gov to create your ID and complete your FAFSA. Use 004925 for the HGTC school code.

WE’RE HERE TO HELP YOU

If you need help, the support staff at Tech Central is available to assist. You’ll find help with applying to HGTC, registering for classes, and completing any required forms, including the FASFA. Go to hgtc.edu/techcentral for hours and more information, or email techcentral@hgtc.edu.

Our scholarships and financial aid staff make the impossible possible. They remove barriers, so you can pursue your dreams.

MAKE IT MATTER.

FLEXIBLE OPTIONS. We know life can be stressful. That’s why we give you the flexibility of our face-to-face, online, and hybrid classes. Regardless of your schedule or preferences, we have the right class for you.

UNIVERSITY TRANSFER. Kick-start your four-year education at a fraction of the cost. Have a specific career in mind? Planning on transferring to a university with your associate degree? You can get there from here with our transfer options.

MAKE IT INTERESTING.

HGTC is one of the few technical colleges in South Carolina with advanced technology and joins the ranks of four-year colleges, such as Clemson University, The Citadel, and Winthrop University. The Anatomy & Physiology courses offered at HGTC recently acquired Anatomage tables which is an educational technology to challenge and prepare healthcare professionals of tomorrow.

The Anatomage tables are innovative technological devices that expose students to the cadaveric world by implementing 3D imagery modeled after individuals who donated their bodies to science.

Our new Surgical Technology Labs have instruments, equipment, and supplies that replicate or mimic a real operating room setting. Surgical simulators train students in basic laparoscopic skills, including endoscope operation, visceral manipulation, procedural anatomy, and intervention.

MAKE IT SMART.

HGTC has been teaching and producing quality healthcare workers for over 45 years. We continue supporting our community with classroom instruction that provides concepts, laboratory practice, and clinical experiences at healthcare providers, ensuring our students are well-qualified to enter the field.

The demand for healthcare services is growing rapidly in the next decade, making it a smart career choice for those seeking stability and job security. HGTC offers over 20 different healthcare programs. No matter what healthcare path you choose, you will be able to make a difference in the lives of others.

At HGTC, we support our students from the time they enter our doors to the time they walk across the stage at graduation. Our students utilize class schedule builders to create a combination of traditional, online, and hybrid classes to reach their career ambitions. In addition, tutoring and support services are offered to help all our students be confident and successful.

MAKE IT BALANCED.

Finding a balance between life and choosing to pursue your career goals is achievable.

When working towards a degree, remember that any sacrifices made during this time are temporary. Education is a lifelong commitment, but the demands of coursework will soon come to an end.

The potential rewards of an increased salary can be applied to many aspects of life, especially life with a family. Increased earnings may enhance the potential to spend quality time with loved ones, making any short-term challenges or sacrifices worthwhile.

The student-operated Fowler Dining Room and ICI Bakery provide training in a real restaurant and bakery operation. Menus and bakery items are created by students using a wide range of cooking techniques focusing on taste, texture, color, and creativity.

MAKE IT UNIQUE.

You already have a passion for food. By attending ICI, you will gain the knowledge to take that passion to the next level. Immerse yourself in our contemporary culinary, baking, and pastry arts curriculum led by our world-class chef instructors in our modern kitchens and classrooms.

At ICI, you will gain hands-on training through working in our student-run restaurant, bakery, and seasonal farmer’s market. Small class sizes, affordable tuition, and a world-class educational experience are just a few reasons students like you choose ICI to make their culinary career dreams come true.

MAKE IT EXCITING.

Advanced manufacturing is the use of innovative technology to improve products or processes, and this high-demand field has more job openings than trained workers.

That’s why HGTC build these Advanced Manufacturing Centers in Horry and Georgetown Counties. These innovative facilities give students training with real-world, high-precision equipment while learning from industry experts.

Become part of a global industry and prepare yourself for a successful future.

The 25,000 sq. ft. facility on the Conway Campus offers Advanced Welding, Machine Tool Operations, and Computerized Numerical Control programs. The 30,000 sq. ft. facility on the Georgetown Campus offers Advanced Welding, Machine Tool Operations, and Mechatronics.

MAKE IT MEMORABLE.

When a high school junior or senior decides to make the pivotal decision and enroll in PACE or Technical Scholars classes at HGTC, they ultimately make their coming years more memorable by easing their course load, reducing tuition costs, and gaining advanced learning.

Earning those first college credits in high school also enables you to learn advanced material and shows how well you can handle the rigor of college-level studies. Starting college studies early helps smooth the transition to remarkable college life.

These college credits apply to programs of study at Horry-Georgetown Technical College or transfer to senior institutions. Talk to your high school guidance counselor about the college credit programs available at your school.

TECHNICAL SCHOLARS

The Technical Scholars program at HGTC is designed for high school students who are interested in careers in STEM, advanced manufacturing and healthcare related fields. Contact your high school guidance counselor for more information.
