On behalf of the Tournament Committee at Northland Country Club, you are cordially invited to play in the 100th Men’s Invitational, to be held from August 13th through August 17th, 2025 in Duluth, Minnesota.
Inside this booklet you will find pertinent information about the tournament and registration process.

Registration Selection Process
Beginning Wednesday, March 5th all participants will be invited to register for the selection process. Participants will have until Monday, March 31st to complete their registration for the event. The tournament committee will then meet and select the field and waitlist the first week of April. The full field of 176 players and waitlist will be shared with the registrants by Tuesday, April 8th. Any player who misses the registration window will be added to the bottom of their division’s waiting list in the order they sign up. Selection Criteria Includes: Past Participation, support of the event and Northland Membership Status.
Members will be asked to register via ForeTees or by contacting the Golf Shop.
All Non-Members will be asked to register using the Registration Link below. Registrants will be required to submit payment information at the time of registration, however players will not be billed until their registration is confirmed into the event.

Non-Member Entry Fee is $575, which includes golf, food, tee gift, and prizes.
Member & Student Entry Fee is $450, which includes golf, food, tee gift, and prizes.
Non-Members are required to create a temporary member number prior to their arrival for the event. This can be done by calling Jana Kiefer in the business office at 218-525-1941. Cart fees, food, merchandise, and other purchases can be charged to this number during Invitational Week.
Withdrawal Deadline
The last day to withdraw from the event without penalty is Wednesday, July 16th. Players withdrawing after this date are subject to forfeiture of their entry fee.
Waitlist
After the field fills, interested players (whether Members or Non-Members) are able to register for a waitlist by contacting a member of the Northland Professional Staff.
Tournament Format
Divisions
Championship Division - Gross Scores
Senior Division - Gross Scores
Players aged 50 years and older at the time of the event are eligible for the Senior Division
Gold Tee Division - Net Scores
Senior Players who wish to play from the Gold Tees are eligible for the Gold Tee Division
Stroke Play Qualifying
Each Player will play an 18-Hole Stroke Play qualifying round to determine Match Play bracket placement and seeding.
The top 31 qualifiers, plus Defending Champion Alex Kolquist, will be placed in the Championship Division championship bracket. Matches will be played from the Blue Tees.
The top 15 qualifiers, plus Defending Champion Jim Lehman, will be placed in the Senior Division championship bracket. Matches will be played from the White Tees.
The Gold Tee Division will utilize Net Scores to determine seeding.
All players who fail to qualify for their division’s championship bracket will be placed into an 8-player bracket based on their qualifying round score. With the exception of the Gold Tee Division brackets, all matches will be played from the White Tees.
Match Play
Following qualifying and bracket creation, match play will be conducted to determine which player advances in each bracket.

Tee Times available all day - Tournament Participants only
Tee times can be made two weeks in advance by calling the Golf Shop at (218) 525-1970
Thursday, August 14th
- Qualifying Round
Tee Times begin at 7:00 AM and continue until approximately 2:00 PM
Breakfast Buffet available from 6:00 AM until 9:00 AM
Lunch available from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM
Stag Night Dinner from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM
Discussion of Players begins promptly at 8:15 PM in the J.R. Link Grill
Friday, August 15th
- Match Play
Matches begin at 7:00 AM on Holes 1 & 10 and continue until approximately 2:00 PM
Breakfast Buffet available from 6:00 AM until 9:00 AM
Lunch available from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM
Saturday, August 16th
- Match Play
Matches begin at 7:00 AM on Holes 1 & 10 and continue until approximately 2:00 PM
Breakfast Buffet available from 6:00 AM until 9:00 AM
Lunch available from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM
The Invitational Dinner begins at 6:30 PM
All participants are invited to attend the Invitational Dinner with a plus one. RSVP’s are Required.
Sunday, August 17th -
Match Play
Matches begin at 7:00 AM on Hole 1
Senior Championship Match begins at 1:00 PM - Championship Match begins at 1:30 PM
Breakfast Buffet available from 6:00 AM until 9:00 AM
Lunch available from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM
Optional Events
Practice Round
Practice Round participants will have the option of entering into Gross Skins & Field Events
$40 entry fee
Qualifying Round
All participants will have the option of entering a Skins game during their Qualifying Round
Each division will have separate skins games
$20 entry fee
Non-Championship Brackets
Each Non-Championship Bracket will have an optional Players Pool available
$50 entry fee
Discussion of Championship & Senior Championship Players
There will be a discussion of all Championship & Senior Championship players
The discussion will begin promptly at 8:15 PM on Thursday evening in the J.R. Link Grill
