HFO Power Plant

Page 1

What is HFO Power Plant An HFO power plant is an energy-generating unit that uses heavy fuel oil to produce electricity as its primary fuel. A heavy fuel oil power plant using high-quality marine diesel engine technology. HFO is an efficient, cost-effective alternative to diesel fuel. HFO burns inside the engine and the products of this combustion act as the working fluid to produce mechanical energy. The engine is coupled to an alternator for the production of electric power. The voltage generated by the alternator is stepped up by the power transformer and supply to the transmission line. A power plant is mainly divided into two systems, that is mechanical system and an electrical system.
