Heater (Optional) Operation

Heater Switch
Operate heater switch (1) to activate the heater.
OFF ....The heater operation is stopped.
LO .......Blown out warm air volume decreases.
HI ........Blown out warm air volume increases.
Vent fNOTE: When the front window pane becomes frozen: If the front window pane becomes frozen in winter or when atmospheric temperature is low due to snow falling, close vent cover (2) and turn heater switch (1) to the HI position. Full warm air is blown out from three front window defrosters (3), allowing the frozen front window pane to be quickly defrosted.
Manually open heater unit cover (2) to adjust heater operation.
Adjusting Operator’s Seat (Standard Type) d CAUTION: Adjust the seat position so that all the pedals, levers and switches can be easily and correctly operated. Adjust the seat position while the machine is parked.

1. Damper Adjustment
The damper stiffness can be adjusted in 5 steps in accordance with the type of work engaged in or the conditions of the road surface. Pull up lever (1) and pull down at the proper point.
Fore-after position of the seat adjustment allows for proper fitting to the operator. Pull up slide lever (2) to adjust the front/rear position of the seat assembly. The seat assembly position can be adjusted in the range of full stroke 160 mm (6.3 in) by 10 mm (0.4 in) interval. Return the lever to the original position after the seat assembly is moved to the desired position. Check that the seat assembly is locked in the desired position.

Adjusting Operator’s Seat (Suspension Type) d CAUTION: Adjust the seat position so that all the pedals, levers and switches can be easily and correctly operated. Adjust the seat position while the machine is parked.

1. Suspension adjustment
Adjust the suspension to protect the operator.
Adjustment procedure
1. Seat on the operator’s seat.
2. Turn suspension handle (1) rightward to raise the seat height, turn leftward to lower the height.
3. Ensure that indicator (5) is in the green range. If the indicator is in red range, rotate the suspension handle and re-adjust the height.
The adjustable range: 50 kg (110 lb) to 120 kg (265 lb) f
NOTE: If the indicator is in upper red range, the seat stiffness is too hard and difficult to ride. If the indicator is in lower red range, the seat stiffness is too soft and the seat may come down to the bottom end.
2. Fore-Aft Position Adjustment
Fore-after position of the seat adjustment allows for proper fitting to the operator. Pull up slide lever (2) to adjust the front/rear position of the seat assembly. The seat assembly position can be adjusted in the range of full stroke 160 mm by 10 mm interval. Return the lever to the original position after the seat assembly is moved to the desired position. Check that the seat assembly is locked in the desired position.
3. Armrest Angle Adjustment
The angle of the armrest can be adjusted by turning knob (6) provided under the armrest.
A: Raise
B: Lower
4. Reclining Angle Adjustment
The reclining angle can be adjusted up to 66 ° forward and 72 ° backward by pulling up reclining adjusting lever (4). Return the reclining adjusting lever to the original position. Check that the backrest is locked in the desired position.
Seat Belt
d WARNING: Always use the seat belt when operating the machine. Before operating the machine, be sure to examine the seat belt and attaching hardware for any failure. If any damage and/or wear is found, replace the part concerned.
Replace the seat belt every four years regardless of its appearance.
1. Seat belt (1) on this machine is a recoiling type.
2. Confirm that seat belt (1) is not twisted. Securely insert the end of seat belt (1) into buckle (2).
fNOTE: When trying to insert seat belt (1) into buckle (2), in case the belt is suspended to extend and does not come out further, fully retract the belt to the original position and try to extend again.
3. Push button (3) on buckle (2) to unfasten seat belt (1).
Seat Pocket (Suspension Seat)
A pocket is provided on the back of the operator’s seat. Use it as a storage space to keep goods such as the Operator’s Manual.
fNOTE: The seat pocket is not a water resistant type. For the canopy vehicle, protect the seat pocket against water using a vinyl bag as needed.
