Transmission Oil Level Check

EACH 10 HOURS OR DAILY SERVICES

Check the transmission oil level when the oil is hot and the system is charged. Place transmission in NEUTRAL, keep the engine idling and apply parking brake. Turn the handle counterclockwise to loosen the cap. Remove the cap and check oil level with the dipstick. Add oil as necessary to bring it to the proper level. Make sure the cap is tight in the filler neck after checking oil. 1

Transmission Oil Filter Change

EACH 500 HOURS

WARNING:Never use gasoline, solvent or other flammable fluids to clean parts. Use authorized commercial, nonflammable, nontoxic solvents.

Clean filter and surrounding area. Then remove the filter housing (1), change the elements and gaskets. Clean the inside of the filter housing (1) and contact surface. Install the new filter.

Transmission Oil Change and Screen Cleaning

EACH 500 HOURS

Run engine until transmission oil reaches operating temperature. Park motorgrader on a level surface, apply parking brake, lower moldboard to ground and shut-off engine. Remove the drain plug and screen, and let the oil drain into a container that holds at least 25 liters (6.6U.S. Gallons). Clean the suction screen completely. Reinstall the screen and drain plug. The transmission oil filter, should be changed at this time. Fill the system to the level mark with the specified oil. Operate transmission to warm oil and top off as necessary.
