Read and observe: “Working operation, safety instructions”.
The rear ripper is equipped with up to five ripper teeth and can be used for heavy-duty ripping work.
Use the ripping teeth only in symmetrical arrangement.
Before lowering the rear ripper, set the ballcock (4, Fig. 5) to position A.
Rear ripper, working position
• Tilt teeth protection (2, Fig. 1) backwards (Fig. 2).
It is held in this position by springs. • Withdraw the cotter pins (4, Fig. 2) and remove retaining pin (3).

Rear ripper, working operation
The rear ripper is controlled with the control lever (64, Fig. 4).
Pull the ripper out of the soil before turning or before reversing the grader.

• To lower the rear ripper – set the control lever (64, Fig. 4) to position 7. • To raise the rear ripper – set the control lever (64) to position 8. The number of teeth used, the ripping depth and the driving speed depend on the nature of the material to be loosened. For ripping, set off with the grader pressing the ripper into the ground.
Rear ripper, road travel
The position of the rear ripper is adjusted with the control lever (64, Fig. 4). Raise the rear ripper up to the limit stop to reach the transport position.
