Control and operation
Modification of the undercarriage width (option)
Extend the attachment near ground level and swing the uppercarriage until the attachment stands above the rear mounting point b of the side frame, which is to be moved in.
Slowly actuate the chain to be retracted to the front, using the manual control lever on the corresponding travel pedal. the side frame moves in at the front mounting point a
Continue actuating the chain until the side frame has moved in by approximately 3 to 4 cm (measurement Xa is being reduced by about 3 to 4 cm).
Reposition the uppercarriage so that the attachment now stands just above the front mounting point a of the side frame, which is to be retracted.
Slowly move the chain on the side which is being retracted to the rear, until the side frame moves in about 6 to 8 cm (Measurement Xb is being reduced by about 6 to 8 cm).
Move the side frame in as described above, alternately on the front and on the rear mounting point, each time by about 6 to 8 cm each, until it is positioned on both sides inside on the stop.
Notice!
The person guiding the operator must watch that the side frame retracts evenly on the front and on the rear. The difference between Xa and Xb may never be more than 6 cm!
Insert the mounting screws 21, but do not tighten them yet. If all screws cannot be inserted by hand, then insert first the 2 or 3 mounting screws on the rear or on the front mounting point all the way (but do not tighten them yet) and then move the side frame in or out slightly, so that all the screws can be inserted easily.
Tighten all mounting screws 21 to the specified tightening torque.
Caution!
It is allowed to operate the excavator only when the both side frames are in extended position!
Moving one side frame out
Extend the attachment near ground level and swing the uppercarriage until the attachment stands above the rear mounting point b of the side frame which is to be moved out.
Slowly actuate the chain of the side frame opposite to the side to be extended to the rear, using the manual control lever on the corresponding travel pedal. the side frame moves out at the front mounting point a.
Continue actuating the chain until the side frame has moved out by approximately 3 to 4 cm (measurement Xa is being increased by about 3 to 4 cm).
Reposition the uppercarriage so that the attachment is now stands just above the front mounting point a of the side frame which is to be extended.
Slowly actuate forward the chain on the opposite side frame, until the side frame to be extended moves out about 6 to 8 cm (Measurement Xb is being increased by about 6 to 8 cm).
Move the side frame out as described above, alternately on the front and on the rear mounting point, each time by about 6 to 8 cm each, until it is positioned on both sides outside on the stops.
Notice!
The person guiding the operator must watch that the side frame extends evenly on the front and on the rear. The difference between Xa and Xb may never be more than 6 cm!
