Control and operation

Danger!

All work on the electrical system of the machine must be carried out by a trained electrician or specialist technician under the supervision of an electrician and in accordance with the electro-technical regulations.

In case of an electrical machine and if required, remove the slip ring. If required, remove the catwalks.

Lifting gear

Front lifting gear

Position the slings 1 at the bearing bores of the boom. Insert and secure the boom pins. Ensure that the pins fasten the slings 1.

Rear lifting gear 964 C

Position the rear lifting gear 6 at the rear of the uppercarriage.

Insert the rear lifting gear 6 at the rear of the uppercarriage.

Insert the securing rods 5 to the stops throught lifting gear 6 openings.

Secure the securing rod 5 with the nut-screw drive 4

Attach and secure shackles 7

Rear lifting gear 974 C

Position the rear lifting gear 3 at the rear of the uppercarriage.

Attach the rear lifting gear 3 with the nut-screw drive 2 (M42 - 10.9, tightening torque 4500 N.m). The screws have to be mounted only one time.

Lifting the machine

Connect the shackles of the lifting gear with the lashing points of the lifting crane. Carefully lift the machine with the crane to pretension the slings.

On machine fitted with removable side frames:

–Disconnect all hydraulic lines of the travel motors at the travel motors.

–Remove the mounting bolts between side frames and undercarriage central part.

Hin Note

After 10 dismountings, replace the mounting bolts of the side frames by new ones.

3.12.3Lashing the machine

Danger!

If the machine is badly secured, it could slip or fall. Before the transport, secure the machine and each separately transported components on the trailer. Avoid contact metal on metal.

Notice

Preferably get your machine fitted out with the LIEBHERR original stowage ears. This equipment aims an optimal stowing of the machine on the trailer.

To secure a machine without stowage ears

On the trailer, secure the machine and its dismantled components with wood blocks.

Attach the chains to the provided lashing points 45 on the machine. Place the chains crosswise to avoid slidings. Attach the chains to he provided lashing points on the trailer.
