Operation Manual

In order to limit the hydraulic oil leaks during maintenance works or repairs in the hydraulic system (replacement of with a vacuum pump allowing to keep the hydraulic tank at depression during the works.

This vacuum pump (fig.1, pos. 1), mounted to the rear of the hydraulic tank beside its switch box (pos. 2), must be connected to the tank using the attached suction hose before carrying out the maintenance works and disconnected again from the tank after completion of these works.

Connection of the vacuum pump to the hydraulic tank: Pull the fitting 8 of the suction hose 6 out of its housing 7 at the front of the hydraulic tank, Remove the protection plug 9 from the fitting 8, Unscrew the breather filter 5 so the pressure inside the hydraulic tank can escape and then remove the breather filter (fig. 3, "O"), Screw the fitting 8 of the suction hose into the threaded hole instead of the breather filter (lightly lubricate the seal).

Starting the vacuum pump: With the suction hose of the vacuum pump connected to the hydraulic tank, and the Diesel engine shut down : Turn the ignition key into "contact" position, Depress the push button S 139, the vacuum pump will start and the control light inside the push button lights up at the same time.

Notice: The vacuum pump cannot be started when the Diesel is in operation.

Stopping the vacuum pump: Depress the push button S 139, the vacuum pump and at the same time the control light in the button S 139 will turn off.

Disconnecting the vacuum pump from the hydraulic tank:

Unscrew the fitting 8 of the suction hose from the bore hole for the breather filter, reattach the protection plug 9 to the fitting of the suction hose, insert the fitting 8 of the suction hose into housing 7 at the front of the hydraulic tank, reinstall the breather filter into its bore in the hydraulic tank (fig. 3, "S").
