8. Turn lock switches (2) and (3) in the pump room to LOCK (c) position and start up the engine.
Remark
On that occasion, if lock switches (2) and (3) are in FREE position (d), the engine does not start up.
9. After starting up the engine, release the warming-up mode and keep the engine running at a low speed (low idle).
10. Operate counterweight removal / installation B control lever (12) slowly to the RAISE (f) position and extend B remover link cylinder (13) to the stroke end (max.). Then B remover link (14) is stretched, and the counterweight begins to rise as it is also stretched. In this process, raise the counterweight slowly by keeping counterweight removal / installation B control lever (12) at its half stroke instead of at the full stroke to control the rising speed.
11. Operate counterweight removal / installation A control lever (15) slowly to the LOWER (f) position, allowing A remover link (16) to be stretched. At that time, the counterweight begins to lower together as it is also stretched. In this process, lower the counterweight slowly by keeping counterweight removal / installation A control lever (15) at its half stroke instead of at the full stroke to control the lowering speed.
12. Lower the counterweight completely to the ground.
13. Remove 2 pin stopper bolts (17), then remove 2 pins (18) from the counterweight holes. When doing this, be careful not to let the counterweight fall over. If there is danger of it falling over, take action to prevent it from falling over before removing pins (18).
