II. ATTACHING AND DETACHING MOWER DECK

WARNING: When attaching or detaching the mower deck to the lawn mower:

• Place the lawn mower on level, hard ground.

• Apply the parking brake securely. (GE TYPE)

• Apply the parking lock securely. (E TYPE)

• Move the PTO lever to the STOP ( ) position.

• Do not start the engine except for operating the lift.

Attach the mower deck first to the lawn mower and then connect the drive shaft.

 INSTALLATION OF MOWER DECK

a. Start the engine. Move the lift lever (1) backward ( ) to raise the mower link in the highest position, and then stop the engine.

b. Remove the PTO cover (10).

c. Set the gauge wheels (3) of the mower deck in the lowest position (Refer to page 78).

d. Before installing the mower deck, set the rear gauge wheels (3) sideways.

m Replace the lower chute (2) by releasing the hock of ring clip (4).

n. Start the engine. Move the lift lever (1) backward ( ) to raise the mower deck, and then stop the engine.

o. Set the gauge wheels (3) of the mower deck straight.

p. Return the lower chute (2) by removing the ring clip (4).

IMPORTANT: • When installing and removing the mower deck, turn clockwise(-) the height adjustment dial (9) fully to lower the mower deck.

• When installing the mower deck, be sure that the ground clearance of the bottom surface of the mower deck is as follows; SXG326 : 150mm, SXG323 : 130mm

• When the mower deck is leaning forward or backward, adjust length of the front link (7).

- In case of leaning forward: Make length of the front link (7) shorter

- In case of leaning backward : Make length of the front link (7) longer e. Depress the lower chute (2) and keep it down with ring clip (4). f. Place the mower deck underneath the lawn mower. g. Insert the discharge cover of mower deck into the chute of lawn mower. h. Move the lift lever (1) forward to lower the rear link (5). i. Install the rear link (5) into the mower deck with pin. j. Install the drive shaft (6) into the lawn mower. k. Attach the PTO cover (10). l. Install the front link (7) into the lawn mower and mower deck.

• When SCMB48/SCMC48 is shipped from ISEKI factory, front link (7) of SCMB48/ SCMC48 is adjusted for SXG326.

- In case of installing SCMB48/SCMC48 to SXG323: Adjust the length of front link (7) as the following size.

WARNING: Put the chains of the drive shaft (6) on the front link.

2. DETACHING THE MOWER DECK

Detach the mower deck in reverse order of attaching: Remove the drive shaft first and then the mower deck from the lawn mower.

CAUTION: Be sure to disconnect the universal joint on the PTO shaft of the lawn mower.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to keep the removed parts.
