27198 Disengaging automatic PTO shaft operation and the PTO shaft: –Switch off switch(1). Automatic operation is also deactivated under the following conditions: •PTO shaft has not run more than 5minutes, •Road travel switch in road travel position, •Ground speed higher than 23km/h, •Driver's seat empty, •Rear PTO shaft external operation button pressed (inside or outside at the rear mud guard).

3.2.3 External operation of rear p.t.o. shaft

Danger!

When the engine is started, the PTO shafts may also rotate for several revolutions. Clothing or objects may get caught and start rotating. –Before starting the engine, ensure that no one is standing near the PTO shafts.

Danger!

Missing guards. Clothing or objects may get caught and start rotating. –Put the PTO shaft into operation only when all guards have been installed:

Universal drive shaft protective tube and guard as well as the PTO shaft guard.

See universal drive shaft operating manual. –After removing the universal drive shaft, put protective cap on the stub of PTO shaft.

External operation of the rear PTO shaft can be used: •For hitching implements, •For function testing of connected implements.

Engaging the PTO shaft for a short time: –Press and hold button (1) until the PTO shaft starts. –Release button (1) to disengage the PTO shaft again. Engaging the PTO shaft permanently: –Keep button (1) pressed for another 3 seconds after the PTO shaft starts.

Disengaging the PTO shaft and automatic PTO shaft operation: –Press button(1) or(2).
