3.3.1 General information about safety decals

The hazard points on a machine that cannot be remedied by design or protective measures are labelled with safety decals. These safety decals help to alert persons to hazards that can cause personal injury. The safety decals consist of 2 parts: •The first part shows the hazard inside a warning triangle. •The second part shows how to avoid injuries and accidents by proper behaviour. The illustrations on the safety decals consist of generally understandable pictograms. If possible, the safety decals must be placed in the immediate vicinity of the hazard point. Genuine CLAAS safety decals carry the CLAAS part code and a production date. The placement and meaning of the safety decals are explained as follows: –Use the 10-digit CLAAS part code in front of each safety decal for ordering. –The safety decal number shown in () indicates the correct placement of the safety decal in the accompanying illustration. –There is a text explanation of the safety decal connected with the graphical representation.
