Power Supply
A small standby battery that is charged by the 24V or 12 V alternator driven by the machine's engine powers the DCS. The supply from the alternator first passes through the power module that is housed in the control unit. The control unit which is encapsulated with an integral cable and gland, will work between 9 and 30V and charges the battery The battery pack itself is intrinsically safe. It contains a 12 V dry, sealed lead-acid battery. When fully charged, the battery can operate for a minimum of 6 hours.
