Power Supply

 A small standby battery that is charged by the 24V or 12 V alternator driven by the machine's engine powers the DCS.  The supply from the alternator first passes through the power module that is housed in the control unit.  The control unit which is encapsulated with an integral cable and gland, will work between 9 and 30V and charges the battery  The battery pack itself is intrinsically safe. It contains a 12 V dry, sealed lead-acid battery. When fully charged, the battery can operate for a minimum of 6 hours.
