Every 50 hours and whenever replacing tool, tool pin condition shall be checked along with tool. Remove, if any, burrs and swelling of tool pins and tool grooves.

When changing tool pin direction, place pin with this surface on tool side

Remove burrs and swelling with grinder or the like

If only one of tool pin faces is worn over the limit, turn both tool pins around so that they can contact the tool with unused faces. When one of the tool pins is replaced, the rest pin should be turned around so that its reverse face contacts the tool.

NOTE! When tool pin is excessively deformed, it is difficult to replace tool. Therefore change tool pin face every 100 to 150 operating hours whether tool pin has reached wear limit or not.
