Transport and Carry Operation
The bucket must be in the roll back position and the bottom of the bucket must not be more than 305 to 457 mm (12 to 18 inches) off the surface.
Flat Ground
Adjust the position of the bucket so that the front edge is lower than the back. Bucket teeth will help you dig in this type of operation.
Move the machine into the digging area with the transmission in FIRST gear and the engine speed at full throttle. Lower the bucket to the ground. When the bucket is at the correct depth, level the bucket and continue to move forward.
When the bucket is full, roll the bucket back. There is lost time when you push material in front of the bucket.
Stock Piles
Make sure the bottom of the bucket is level. Move the machine forward into the material. When the speed of the machine starts to decrease, push in the down-shift button on the Transmission Control Lever or on the Loader Control Level, push the left brake pedal, raise the loader, and roll back the bucket.

NOTE: Push down the left side of the Declutch switch and the left brake pedal to get maximum power for the loader. See Function Switches in this manual.
Loading Trucks
Be very careful when you load trucks. Raise the load and move the machine toward the side of the truck. As you move the load toward the truck, use the loader height control to automatically position the bucket at the correct height. After you dump the load, use the Return-To-Dig to position the bucket for the next cycle.
Load Handling
Whenever load handling operations are to be carried out, it is IMPORTANT to strictly obey local regulations and instructions given in this manual.
It is strictly forbidden to weld hooks or lugs on the bucket of this machine. Do not allow anybody to stand in the machine working area. Operate the controls smoothly to obtain precision movement and travel.
WARNING: When you operate the machine, keep the loader bucket as low as possible. This low position gives better balance and permits you to see more clearly. If the bucket is full and you move the machine over ground that is rough or surfaces that can cause the machine to slide, always operate at slow speed. If you do not use this procedure, the machine can go out of control and roll-over. SA041
