ENGINE HOURMETER

OPERATING IN HOT WEATHER

To prevent damage to the machine do the following:

1.Keep the coolant at the correct level in the coolant reservoir and in the radiator.

2.Test the radiator cap before hot weather starts. Replace the cap as required.

3.Clean all dirt and debris from the radiator and engine area. 4.Check the condition of the drive belts.

5.Use lubricants of the correct viscosity.

6.Use the correct solution of ethylene glycol and water in the cooling system.

7.Check the dust valve of the air cleaner more frequently during extreme dust conditions.

TOWING THE MACHINE

If your machine is disabled, you must make a judgment if the machine can be moved without further damage. If possible, repair the machine at the job location. If you cannot repair the machine at the job location and if you have a transport trailer, park the trailer as close as possible to the machine (see Transporting the Machine in this manual). If you must tow the machine, read the following recommendations and use caution.

1.Attach a rigid drawbar to the machine.

2.If the machine is to be towed more than 1/2 mile (0.8 km) you must disconnect the front and rear drive shafts.

3.Connect a second machine to the rear of the disabled machine as close as possible. This second machine is used to help stop the disabled machine.

4.Tow the disabled machine at a maximum speed of 5 mph (8 km/h). TRIM THIS EDGE
